Doing this wouldn't even save you that much vs. the official route. A 2230 SN530 is 140 and the nvme to CFexpress convertor is another 50 and I had to go to ebay to find either. Only saving about 20-30 bucks doing this mod. Really can't believe MS thought going back to memory cards and charging out the butt for them was a great move, especially when you are #2 in the console race. You'd think being as consumer friendly as possible would be the name of the game.

@uninspiredcup: I wouldn't call three full 20-30 hour remastered experiences for the standard 60 dollars over priced.

This is so weird to me. If you weren't around or very young 10-13 years ago ME was just about the biggest thing in gaming. It was in national news and the launch of 3 was a fricken EVENT and the subsequent disappointment a topic for months. It was called the "star wars of gaming" back then, why on earth would they think it wouldn't sell well? That's like if Microsoft was shocked the master chief collection sold well, like what? Why wouldn't a series of graphically updated versions of mostly beloved games NOT sell well?

3 may have disappointed but it was still loaded with great moments, anchored by characters we'd grown to love and the best combat in the franchise. Andromeda was a buggy mess and a complete step backwards without any of the history of ME1/2 to save it. Andromeda's failure and crappy sales doesn't mean people hate the mass effect franchise, they just want a good one. You sold them the good ones but better and it sold well, how are shocked by this?

Releasing tyler breeze kind of sabotages the Upupdowndown youtube channel which I assume they own because they control their talents social media accounts. Tyler was the co-host and part of just about everything on the channel. This sucks.

It's not even in question if the game is coming out on other platforms. SE has been porting every final fantasy game to PC without fail for over a decade now and all the kingdom hearts just came out on PC like two weeks ago. The Xbox has been getting their stuff for years. I'd be absolutely shocked if xbox/PC didn't have FFVII intergrade by the end of the year or next year at the latest. SE like all companies likes selling their product to as wide an audience as possible unless you hand them a bag of money not to for a bit. Sony's bag of money ran out so expect to see them return to their regularly scheduled program of multi-platform releases.

@fellsorcerer: I don't think it's THAT crazy an idea. Nintendo doesn't have that much crossover with Xbox in terms of what they sell on their platforms. The big hurdle would be getting things to run on the switch. It would have to use Xcloud to make it possible. As for Sony? Well, I could see a cut down version of game pass that only has the MS exclusives on it and none of the 3rd party stuff. Sony just lost a truck load of previously non-exclusive games because of this deal. If the only way to play some of the biggest games around on their platform means allowing some form of game pass on PSN, I imagine that's preferable to nothing.

So the PC version is not only exclusive to Epic but it's also more expensive and inconvenient because of it? You greedy pigs are already getting the extra revenue cut for making the epic deal so just give away the access pass for free. It would have gone a long way to smooth over the Epic exclusivity if people got 3 games worth of content for the trade off. You're not really losing much since Hitman 1/2 go for under 10 bucks a piece on sale these days. Instead they've chosen the polar opposite direction of squeezing new customers for a few more dollars and trying to make already existing owners of hitman 1/2 on steam buy the same game twice in the form of this access pass. What possible incentive is that for me to reward this behavior. I'll be waiting until it's available on steam for a HEAVY discount and I'll be glad steam takes a bigger cut of my money for themselves.

It's honestly not as big a deal in Retail wow since Tokens became a thing. What you'd spend on multiple accounts you could just buy a bunch of tokens and get all the mats or whatever you need anyway. This is more a response to Classic and the inevitable TBC classic. In classic botting and multi-boxing has become a plague. Especially with the ability to use a VPN to fake being from Argentina and pay about 2-3 dollars for a subscription. So for the price of 1 regular NA sub you could run a team of 5 toons. With classic WoW being extremely simple in dungeon mechanics and character mechanics it's very easy for just about anyone to be successful spamming dungeons on their own with modern Multi-box software.

I'm shocked it took them until almost the end of classic to put their foot down though. At least it's in time for TBC classic, now they just need to put a real effort to crack down on the bots. I honestly wish they'd just put in classic tokens like they have in China. Classic is already rampant with gold buying from 3rd party sites so what difference would it make? It worked it retail despite all the whinging and complaining.

@millionsedge: lol Shadowlands is THE MOST PREORDERED EXPANSION FOR WOW EVER. Not only do people still play it but it's thriving. Not even sure why people are angry about it anymore to be honest. It's been 16 years now, get over it? A game you don't like is still liked by millions, how terrible for you?

It has nothing to do with websites not being able to respond to demand. It's the bots and not mentioning them is kind of missing the story. You have bot scripts hitting these websites who knows how many times each second faster then a human ever could on top of the regular old mortal humans doing it. The combination is what's causing the problems.

These retail websites need to get their acts together and put in bot mitigation going forward. This isn't going to go away so they need to do what sneaker selling sites have been doing for a while now. Two factor authentication, blocking credit cards/paypals from making more then one purchase for a given amount of time, no guest check outs and a little captcha thrown in.
