@ohnooze: PeeWee’s Big Adventure is a classic movie, and if your opinion is really that negative regarding it then we aren’t going to agree on much of anything in popular entertainmen.
I see that a lot of people are skeptical of this negative review, but I have been skeptical of all of the positive reviews from other outlets. This is Snyder. Remember Batman V Superman? That was terrible. And it’s a DCEU movie. They have had three semi-ok movies, and the rest are total garbage. I kind of think all of their movies, even the kind of good ones, are boring and endlessly long. That last Wonder Woman seemed like it was ten hours of boring. I think it’s best to keep expectations in check.
Good luck with that. Joker and Wonder Woman (the first one) were good. Aquaman was pretty ok, but the rest have been one dumpster fire after another. They need to up their game. I’d like to see them make stuff as good as the Harley Quinn series and Doom Patrol. Garbage like Wonder Woman 1984 is not welcome.
An annual roster of six movies that are as bad as Batman V Superman is not enticing.
Looks good to me. I really hated Affleck as Batman. He was so stupid. Batman is supposed to be like Sherlock Holmes in a cape. Affleck was angry, and nothing else. I like DIY look of the costumes and the Batmobile. Very grounded feel. It makes the Dark Knight trilogy (which I love) look like the Burton movies (which I also love) in terms of the more street level reality. I like the choice for Gordon too. That actor has the right touch. He’s got the humanity of Gordon and the authority of a police commissioner.
