GoW 3 > starcraft 2

There are better RTS's.

I don't really need to dignify this with a response but I'll do it anyway.

While this is all just one giant pissing contest, and I'm sure Microsoft and Sony are more interested in the papery green stuff, did anyone think maybe neither company will win the sales contest this year. We all know that software sales is where it's at, at least it better be or Sony is in big trouble. It occurs to me that while PC's and Mac's while not direct competitors will be the big winners this year.

If were talking Game of the Year and sales I would bet there is at least 10 million Koreans over here in Seoul who beg to differ sing Blizzard singlehandedly wins 2009, and Starcraft 2 is game of the year. Let us not forget we're talking about a game that has one of the largest online communities 10 years strong, and has survived a legion of pretenders to the RTS throne.

I don't think anyone is going to disagree that Starcraft2 is going to boot-stomp GoW3 and any Halo game, short of Halo 4 in sales. Not to mention Diablo II was kinda popular and held the sales record till it was broken by Warcraft III, which was broken by World of Warcraft. They have the trackrecord and Diablo 3 is slated for 09.

It's not a question of Nintendo and Sonys doing. It's the simple fact that it's much easier to develop games for a system that by default has a lower production cost.

[QUOTE="battleroyalex"]im done with the whole guitar hero scene, it's been over done after I got rockband.. and Call Of Duty 5 Will prob suck Just like 3 did :(Jaysonguy

Did they not release 4 where you are yet?

I mean they made another one since 3. They improved things a lot from 3 to 4 so if you're only going on 3 you don't have all the necessary information yet.

I'm sure 4 will be released where you are before 5 so you may want to check it out. If you don't like the things they've changed then stay away but 4 was a leap upwards in the overall design.

The company that made 3 made 5, which by the way is not the same company that made 4; the company that made 1 and 2.

Fallout 3. Fable 2 is this years RPG for me. I can only play one RPG at a time.

Strife88

Same, except I'm going with Fallout 3.

Fable would be my first choice as an RPG. I'm really tempted to buy Fallout 3 but I only play one game at a time and I don't play another till I beat the one I'm playing, I've had Bioshock for two weeks I only fired it up two days ago. That said Fallout 3 would undoubtedly overlap my playing of Gears of War 2, Banjo Kazooie, and Prince of Persia. Once I'm done with those I'll sit down and decide if I want to jump into Fallout 3 or The Last Remnant. Granted I'm still going to play Fable and Farcry 2 before the ones I mentioned above. With that many games I might be looking at a choice between Fallout 3, The Last Remnant, and Resident Evil 5.

The FIFA series has real legs as far as replay value is concerned. Personally however I'm a fan of Pro Evolution Soccer if you don't mind waiting for a few weeks.

saints row and guitar hero. i'm just not into those types of games. tgschmidt

My thoughts exactly. I'm not a GTA fan so I doubt I'll be interested into a well polished rip off. Also I'm not a huge Guitar Hero fan. I prefer Rockband but no game is worth close to $200.

They are going with a new style for a couple of reasons. First they know Gamespot, IGN, and all the other companies with give them a mediocre score and say it's more of the same if they don't change it up a bit. Not to mentionthe avid fans who follow games will tear it apart and won't touch it either; apparently only Sonic games can get away with churning out fodder.

The reason why they are going with the new look, my opinion, despite their valiant effort in the Two Thrones the stench of Warrior Within still lingers over the franchise as a whole. They are trying to distance themselves from prince who sounds like a chain-smoking, pissed off, prat. Cell-shading is a, under-appreciated, good start.

I would be more interested in a whole franchise crossing over.

1: Uncharted

2: Resistance

I'd like to see a Chicago knock off city. But I'm not sure how well that would translate. The Mob wouldn't be a problem considering the mayor has ties with it.
