@Raxyman

If it takes greed to push the games to that cost, it will not be Nintendo who will make the first move.

Oh right...

Assuming the price of a console, believing a rumour which has been strongly denied, and complaining about a adaption of a console with a bigger, clearer and better screen (confirmed by hands-on impressions), which will likely have a Circle-Pad Pro XL. Awesome logic right there. ;-)

The PSN outage was bad... because it lead in from a point of Sony's systems getting hacked and risked their customers having their details stolen. Then they took so long to fix it up. At least they did supplement it with a gift to all those affected.

With the Vita.... the issue is really in that it didn't do any better than the 3DS, which many sony fanboys were ready to call a failure. It is the contradiction which causes people to bring it up.

When selling at a loss... it still means they are losing money on every sale until hey overcome that. That is not a hateful comment, it is just honest. There is no reason for you to brag about those sales, when they are losing Sony money, which in effect COULD lead to sony cutting off from their gaming division... especially when they have other means of making money.

Never make any statements that you cannot back up with proof... otherwise it means NOTHING. At least all my reasoning can be seen from game to game... and it still stands that all the key aspects of Smash Bros. is based of Nintendo titles... You're just done with losing an argument... and the funny this is, I don't hate Sony... I strongly dislike the way they run their gaming division.

Smash Bros. was an experimental game, which Nintendo only did for the sheer fun of it... they didn't even expect it to have a sequel... they didn't expect it to be a hit. Sony simply saw its success and decided to feed off of it.

If Nintendo succeeded off of only ripping of other companies... I would dislike them just the same... But hey... if Sony starts doing their own thing and proves that they can succeed on their own... then I would have no leg to stand on in disliking them and would probably be a fan of them... but at the moment... they are simply copying their competition which imo is not good sportsmanship.

Yet... you fail to provide the name of the game or the company... and my point was that Nintendo used key aspects of all of their franchises... if another company made something similar... then they too ripped off Nintendo, even if it was released before Smash Bros., because the key aspects came from games like Mario. Metroid and Donkey Kong... as well as other games from Nintendo.

Like I said... the key aspects of Smash Bros. all originated in Nintendo games... so.... no matter how you put it... it all started off from Nintendo.

Not enough to deviate it from being a rip-off.

Oh right... because people who disagree with you are idiots... but everyone else are genius' and should be praised for all their sage statements... Name one game before Smash Bros... which is even as close to being played as closely to it as Sony's game is...

All the things in Smash bros. are key aspects of their many franchises, tuned to fit a fighting title... platforming... side-scrolling... the use of iconic characters... the use of icnoic stages... the progression of maze-like adventure modes... etc. all came from games Nintendo has created in the past... the big difference... is that most of not all the characters used aren't really iconic... nor even near as iconic as almost every single character in the Smash Bros. roster.

Fine... but however you put it... They still stole key aspects from Smash Bros.. Why do I think this? Because Nintendo combined a sidescolling fighter, with platforming elements and title specific stages and characters.... it has some stages which are interactive and have movement in backgrounds and abilities include smash attacks which deal a fair amount of damage, as well as some abilities which can be gained during play which deal instant kills, and it is made to be played amongst 2-4 players.

Wait... that is a fitting desciption of both games... There may be some differences, but there is no way you can dismiss that Sony could have attempted to make more differences... therefore making them unoriginal.

If they don't care about grammar, then don't reply to people's posts and insult them, calling them "a idiot" because of an opinion... compared to themselves who are unable to spell a 2 letter word... more hypocritical statements from Sony fanboys is all it is...

I can't believe this... Sony was not forced to do anything... They chose to clone the Wiimote because of greed. Next you will say that Sony was forced to clone Smash Bros. as if they don't have a choice in the situation... Point is... Sony is only in it for money, they keep hoping that by pushing out power, they will get more attention, but that has been proven wrong enough times for them to have learnt by now.

The Wiimote has proven that it is more than a gimmick, anyone who has played Skyward Sword or Red Steel 2 could vouch for that... it is capable of pulling off hardcore experiences without a gimmicky feel to them at all.. sure it took time, but the Move hasn't really proven that it can do anything hardcore (sony gave up on it), after Nintendo put all the time and effort into fleshing out and creating gaming experiences with motion controls.

You can't honestly believe that Sony is the only hardcore console manufacturer... Nintendo is the only one that truly seems to LOVE games... that is why Nintendo will always be around. Both casual and hardcore can survive together... you can't think that having casual games on a console is a disease... they can actually co-exist with the hardcore, you just have to pick what games you prefer.
