There is a high chance that Gamecube games will be downloadable. Not sure about RE games (not guaranteeing anything absolutely), but there is definitely a chance that they could make it. Although the console will not be backward compatible with Gamecube, it is with Wii games, meaning at least (if you haven't already) you'll be able to play both Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess as @leeko_link mentioned.

Just to clarify for some... Developers have stated that the WiiU can run games at the graphic level of a modern high end PC. WiiU is going to be a fantastic console, and this partnership reinforces that.

I'll take this as them saying that they have something special in the works for the console, something that the other consoles will not get. There has to be a reason for the partnership, it doesn't exist for show, so expect some good news in the future in relation to the WiiU.

Right... so closer to the WiiU's lifespan being over..? After 4 whole years, only 1/3 of the WiiU lifespan would be left, one or two years for the Next Nintendo console to come out and top that one.

Developers have stated that they have gotten games for WiiU working at the graphical standard of a modern high-end PC, don't kid yourself and believe it means "slightly better than 360/PS3."

Yes, the PS4 will likely be powerful, and so will the next xbox but as of now, there is literally no confirmed information on any of those consoles, so at this point in time there lacks any point of mentioning their power based on a random anonymous source.

Haha. Fanboys who have blind hate for the WiiU are no better than fanboys who have "blind" love for the WiiU. In fact they are much worse.

I have faith in the WiiU, it seems like a solid system. I trust it will be successful, considering a lot of the next-gen engines will be heavily scalable, it doesn't seem like there will be similar issues that the Wii had in its generation.

Besides... we've heard multiple times already that the WiiU is signifcantly more powerful, some third-party games will look visually superior on the WiiU (higher resolution textures, etc.) and the console is still limited by the restraints of the consoles it is being ported from, it'll be able to do much more.

In the time being, the "perfect machine" is the more popular system in the eyes of Capcom. There is no purpose releasing a game for a system which has significantly lower sales. You don't force the major part of the market to buy a system to play a game, you release your products to the major market, which is 3DS owners.

Game Developers do not make a game to boost consoles of a console, they make a game for the more popular console, which will garner them the most attention and sales. Unfortunately for you (and anyone who liked your comment), in the present time the best decision they could make is to put it on the 3DS, it is the curent top seller in Japan no matter how much you deny it.

People saying this a is bad move...

Monster Hunter is mostly popular in Japan, In Japan (and worldwide) 3DS has sold more than Vita. It might be bad for you, but not for Monster Hunter or Capcom. Whether you like it or not, it is the truth, complaining about it is the only stupid thing. Eventually Vita may get it, just show support for the possibility and stop acting so stubborn.

Make an Operation of it, deal with the issue (like Operation Rainfall), but don't whine on sites where no one important will see it.

A lot of HD games are $120 in Australia, we deal with it, besides it has been denied, get over it. Right... because a console that is significantly more powerful than the current-gen can't produce games that look as good as current-gen? The controller, a gimmick? Really? After all those developers have only praised it for what it does for gameplay???

Are you trying to look like a blind fanboy?
