[QUOTE="AAllxxjjnn"]This gen is going on way too long. Stevo_the_gamer
Nah, especially when a new console would cost like $300-400. Games look and play fine on consoles as is (HD Twins that is).

Play Crysis once and you'll never go back.

Clearly you haven't played any Zelda game since Ocarina of Time... or any Zelda game at all.

I've played all major Zelda relesaes.

All real gamers know that consoles are killing the industry.

Are you joking? The difference between PC and current consoles is MUCH more of a jump then ps2 to ps3 and xbox to xbox360.

Go play Metro or Crysis on a real godo computer, that is WAAAAAAAAAY better looking thean any game on consoles can come even close to.

Not really. Go compare god of war 2 to god of war 3. The gap is major compared to that of uc2 to crysis.

GOW2 > GOW3 was nothing like Super Mario World > Super Mario 64. What's your point? It takes more and more to get the same boost. The point is, is that, hardware in PCs right now, is hardware (in quality) that will be in NG consoles assuming they don't go the Wii route.

I get a new PC about every five years, therefore, it's the same feeling.

Whoever said 9, I hope you burn in Hell.

Anything other than 10, 12, or 13 is plain wrong and you have bad taste.

the cartridge based systems, you can put a 30GB flash in one and add a Co Proccessor and GPU to make it look like some games today. the disc based consoles are harder to do to make it like todays. if it was a ps1 or saturn, 9 discs would be needed but it could be done. if it was ps2 or gamecube or original xbox, they can push the consoles to do HD and add better detail on the discs to make them close. the ps2 and xbox have games that do 1080i and they look like early current gen games. half of gamecubes library already does but at 480p.

more storage space does not equate better graphics.

That's not exactlytrue. Look at the Neo Geo carts. Bigger carts allowed for more space and more frames of animation. It's also worth looking at the the SNES's FX cart that produced quite primitive 3D, although fully legitimate 3D.

The SuperFX added a 20mhz coprocessor and a graphic decompressing chip.
