And Respawn making a Medal of Honor game? Really, EA? Really?! Talk about squandering one of the best new studios in the industry. There are a thousand better things they could be working on, but you have them making Battle Royale, Star Wars with Dark Souls gimmicks, and now a revival of an outdated and underperforming franchise that was already revived once last generation to dismal reception.
The only positive to come from the revival of the MoH series is the hope that the BF series will be returning to the modern day setting where it belongs. Shame, though. I'd much rather see Respawn tackle a BF game after the mess that the last two DICE entries ended up being.
Shame. I really enjoyed the series. Season 1 in particular was a fun world too explore. I think the issue with Season 2 was the lose of lost of it's original cast. The jump forward and the actor swaps made it harder for viewers to get invested in.
Going forward, I would love to see this series get a videogame adaptation, perhaps something similar to Deus Ex or that older FPS 'Syndicate'
So if a developer signs a 1-year timed exclusive deal like Arkane did with Sony, then the game is delayed, does that time passed count or does the deal get extended? Really want Deathloop on my XSX and it's the first timed exclusive deal in recent history that has actually pissed me off somewhat. Definitely not doing anything to win me over to buying a PS5, that's for sure.
I'm extremely hopeful for MCC to add mod support to the Xbox version in the future. If nothing else, I am dying for the chance to play the SPV3 Mod for the original Halo.
It's crazy how much work they're putting into adding new content to the MCC all these years after release. New skull, ODST Firefight, Halo CE Skins, new weapons in Halo 3... It's curious. Especially coming hot off the announcement that Halo Infinite will have F2P multiplayer. Almost feels like they might integrate Infinite into MCC's system. Even better if they integrate Halo 5's multiplayer into the MCC system as well. Every Halo could live on forever without completely removing the population from the other servers.
Halo Infinite F2P multiplayer is cool and all, but here's a better idea. MCC multiplayer F2P, updated for XSX specs, and Halo 5 and Halo Infinite Multiplayer added to it as well.
Than turn it into an app integrated directly into the dashboard so that you can access armor customization, check stats, and start matchmaking while the game boots up.
