Not really sure where I would rent from, which is part of my problem with a lot of games like Red Dead, Monster Hunter, and Devil May Cry, so games I ended up not liking.
RedBox doesn't do games anymore (I actually bought RE2 from Redbox when they were clearing out their stock), physical rental stores like Blockbuster no longer exist, and I can't sign up for GameFly because whoever owned my house last had an account under this address and I can't change my address on my own account to it because it's already in use for some stupid reason.
Not sure who else does game rentals, though I'd love to learn if there's another service like GameFly out there.
Nah. I'm good. Bought RE2 Remake for $11 and never got further than the gas station at the beginning of the game. Give me an RE4 remake and we'll talk, but that's the only entry I have any interest in replaying in the series.
I figured demand would overtake supply, but come on. I literally ordered and paid my console off in full less then 5 minutes after pre-orders went live back in September, but I wasn't able to get my console while I see plenty of people walking in to stores and just buying them on a whim. Not to mention people who just pre-ordered a couple weeks before launch that fit theirs as well. At the very least the earliest preorders should have been covered first.
I didn't realize Ancel was no longer a part of the project, let alone no longer a part of the industry. That's truly disappointing as his vision is part of what made the original game so amazing. At this point I think my interest in BG&W2 just dropped to zero. That is a massive bummer...
Really hope this game comes with a demo. The world looks cool to explore, but the gameplay still looks like it has that trademark CDPR terribleness to it. I'm already disappointed they went with the "damage by the numbers' system instead of an actual shooter system like in Deus Ex or Prey. It's honestly the dealbreaker for me giving this game a chance and without a demo to try it before I buy it, I'm much more confident in my decision to skip the game entirely than to risk spending $60 and hating it.
Can't they just released it now and patch in the the issue graphics later?! I don't care about graphics and won't even have a 4K TV to take advantage of my XSX anyway. As long as the game played and performed optimally, I don't care about the rest. I just want the next chapter in the story.
I never hated Phantom Menace, but that may be because it was my first Star Wars as a 9-year-old child and while it has its weaknesses (Jar-Jar's character relied too heavily on clumsiness-induced Ex Machina. I didn't even mind the voice and humour of his character) I think it also have us some of today's favorite elements in the series. Qui-Gon, Mace Windy, Darth Maul, Double-bladed lightsabers, and just the dance-like motion that accompanied lightsaber combat were all elements that improved on what we already had in the original trilogy. The worst things about that movie is that they killed off 3 of the 5 things that would've made the rest of the trilogy so much better (at least Maul returns in the animated Series'. I feel deprived of Qui-Gon content and would love a prequel series featuring him in some capacity. Even a one-off season like the new Kenobi show would be great.
