@proceeder: If there isn't a 3rd person cam, I suspect there will eventually be a mod that let you change the camera to whatever you like, like in the case of TW3, considering how much people LOVE taking screenshots...
Had a blast playing this game, but then I jumped to other games and still haven't finished it.
I went with a melee ninja kind of build and I'm not gonna lie, it was hilarious, and I loved that build. But then as you get to high level your character can do anything and the idea of a "build" fades away. I would prefer a character development system where portions of it are barred from the rest, so that each build path can have its own identity. At least in Oblivion it takes a very long time for your character to be good at everything.
I played the beta Gwent for about a week recently and got to something like 2200+ MMR. Pretty cool game. Can't help but imagine what it would have been like if they had shipped TW3 with the Gwent developed to something close to the standalone game. Would have been amazing.
@Gelugon_baat: Heh, it's been years and I can never get rid of the nagging feeling that their not-so-intimidating appearance doesn't quite befit their surprisingly high rank in the baatezu society. Me, I prefer the chaotic nature of the tanarri myself.
@quis89: Most complaints are not about enjoying the game with friends. They are about potential dramas between you and strangers on the internet. Some have friends available to play this game with; others don't. On the other hands, there will always be jerks. Also, playing this game with a bunch of friends doesn't stop some tryhard hackers or simply jerks from messing with your progress. Playing with friends simply helps make it less frustrating when that happens.
@jwrebholz: lol well said my dude. While I'm not gonna act like I know exactly what it will be like with this game without even touching it, I'm sure we all agree that there will always be try-hard jerks who will manage to find ways to ruin your fun and get enjoyment solely out of that, even if they gain absolutely nothing gameplay-wise. I've seen this too much in Dark Souls PvP.
I'll gladly give this game a second playthrough as this comes out. I'm enjoying Pillars of Eternity II right now, and I will need to get back to and finish the first game after this one. And with DS Remastered and Vampyr on the way, this is going to be a good summer.
Been playing the game for a couple days. I love the RPG elements and how they made it so that your journey feels very personal to you, constantly. I just can't seem to like the combat, despite my trying to. Playing this reminds me why I stopped playing the first game after making significant progress and never felt the urge to get back to it, even though I did enjoy it a lot while playing. There are a bunch of combat elements that I find inconsistent, or just... strike me as "this doesn't make a whole lot of sense", and/or downright get on my nerves, sad to say.
