Not bothered by this. Both consoles have great exclusives and to call one better than the other is just narrow minded. They're both good for different reasons.
I assumed I would just buy a PS4 for the next generation simply because it would offer sequels to the exclusive games I enjoyed on previous Sony consoles. That's all I care about, the games. The only extras I want are the ability to play online and the ability to play DVDs and blu-rays. To be honest, I don't buy used games, and I'm not keen on lending out games either, so those aspects of the Xbox One don't really bother me. I'm a bit uncertain about the Xbox One in the long run. What I mean is, in 10 years or so when Microsoft move onto something else and games can't be validated, does the console become a useless brick? That would be annoying!
The controversy over this review score is exactly the reason why GameSpot and over review sites should drop a numbered score from their reviews altogether.
To me, an 8/10 is a good score. It's certainly convinced me to pick up a copy of the game.
Nintendo released the Wii U too early, they should have waited 6-12 months so the games could be there to support it. I don't see this news as a bad thing, just restructuring for the post-E3 sales boom. Seems obvious they'll be announcing one or more new system bundles.
