I like to collect physical games for the packaging, artwork, etc. It feels like value for money. I like to put them on my shelf and declare "I own those games!". I just don't get the same feeling with digital games.

"Fanboy-ism" can be a good thing, provided people remain civil. Having a bit of competition can be fun. My favourite was Nintendo vs Sega back in the 90s. Nobody was right or wrong, but debating the merits of the SNES and Mega Drive/Genesis in the playground was common at school ;)
