The payback system seems cool but who gives a s about things like big head. The thing is as a wrestling nerd i feel any move AWAY from simulation is bad. I hear people here saying they need to speed up the gameplay......i think they need to slow it down, by 2x at least. I mean sure cruiserweight matches can go real quickly but otherwise a regular match isn't that fast with moves following one another quickly without the opponent having time to sell like it can be in those games.

Anyway i'm not going back to a 2k game until they give us back the ability to completely customize body size and muscles like in 2k16. They went with presets after that and it sucks. Ill be honest i don't really care how many real life wrestlers they put in the game, what i want is to make my own and 2k16 was the best so far for this. I bought 2k17 and barely played it when i realised body frame wasnt tons of sliders anymore but just a few presets.

The other thing i really want is a fully customizable mycareer mode. Like it's dumb to play a ten, fifteen years long career without any roster change, but if i COULD customize it i would have roster rotations every year, have some guys leave, bring in new player made wrestlers.

Agreed but...MGSV? How is MGSV leaps ahead of the AC series? i did about 12 hours and then i couldn't stand it anymore (nor could i stand Hideo Kojima reminding you he wrote and directed this every 30 mins...we get it, you're full of yourself) and as much as i desperately tried to get interested in the story, i just couldn't. Actually its not that it was bad...it just wasn't particularly good. I'd done the same sort of stuff in other games before, better. Also, minor quibble, but SOME of those animations are kinda horrible, especially in the era of Arkham games (not that i find those games great, they're good enough,, but they were the first to raise the bar on animations, now other games have followed, mgsv was left behind). How GS gave this a ten is a head scratcher....i'm hoping it doesn't win GOTY too. Also, yes, the environment is an issue. If you give me an open world but don't bother make it interesting looking, what's the point. Even if one loves the MGSV gameplay (it's ok), you have to take points off for some of these things.

You know a game i enjoyed more than MGSV? Far Cry 4. Yeah, the other ubisoft series that's probably gonna get one new game a year now. The story is formulaic, but who cares (story is the least important thing in my list). I found the stealth AND action better than MGSV and emergent gameplay was better than in MGSV, especially since action is actually more fun (seriously once i get into firefights in mgsV....the game gets not so good, youre better off sticking to stealth). i have loads more "i can't believe that just happened/i just did this" moments in FC4 then in MGSV.

i'll be honest, as tired as i am of the AC series (i skipped revelations, AC III and Unity so far), Syndicate looks more interesting to me than MGSV ended up being. Even if after having played Dying light, i do more than ever find AC's parkour to be extremely cheap and on rails. (Dying Light isn't an amazing game but the way they did parkour, by actually making you do it, was flawless and makes AC look really bad and boring, i suspect the upcoming Mirror's Edge sequel will do the same )

No. It's a good game. I don't know what some people expected out of it. That it wasnt' in any way gonna play like any other game? The only real weakness i think it has is STILL in it's driving mechanics which are pretty bad even though you do sorta get used to them. And then there's people who were upset about the graphics downgrade but since when is a game about graphics? I didn't cre that much, i couldnt' run it with everything on ultra anyway.

The rest of the game delivered exactly what it said it would.

Ive played about 6 hours so far. Meh. Feels like a 7 to me. Its a lot like Arkham and a lot like AC yes, and i like both these series, but it's not AS good. For one i think the map is too small and absolutely boring and depressing. (and no i don't think it had to look awful and depressing just cause it's mordor, there's just no...magic to it, if you've seen one small corner of it you've seen it all) The gameplay is fine but i get bored fast. I'll finish it and move on. Not a bad game, not a great game. An ok game while i wait for better ones.

@willman61 Im with you. I tried Dark Souls and i can't wrap my head around the fact that it's a popular series. More than anything else that have come out in the past decade I can't rationally explain its success. I like fantasy. I like rpgs. I like action. I like swordfights and i like open endedness. But Dark Souls is a dumb charmless souless (pun not intended) badly realised, ugly, poorly animated series (not that graphics matter that much, after all Minecraft is probabyl the best game of the last ten years and it looks like ass but still). And its fighting mechanics are atrocious. I'm at a loss. I guess that's fine, i don't have to get it. But I kinda wish i did. I mean i don't like, say, COD, but i get why it's popular. I hate Gears of War, but i get why it's popular. This, i just don't.

@Auriken Its a space sim. If you're not doing cockpit view. You're doing it wrong.

Though the missile lock looked needlessly flashy.

ive wondered for YEARS if wave physics in games have in fact ever surpassed Waverace.

And its funny cause I found out about that game today elsewhere and I was just telling my brother that the nice thing about this is someday this will probably make it into an A list mainstream game. He was just before tht showing me a trailer of a game with amazing car crash physics called BeamNG drive which I hope will one day ALSO make it in major games. Look it up

Well it took them long enough but they are finally getting near the batman game ive been wanting all along for like 15 years. Still I won't be completely satisfied until its full gotham with traffic and everything. Basically the closer they get to GTA: Batman, the better.

Not sure not liking Portal makes you a moron. I tried it, thought the concept was great and original but ultimately after a while i had to try to remind myself why i was bothering to solve those portal puzzles that were essentially the same as the ones before just more complex. I don't think Portal is a shit game by far but it couldn't keep me interested and didn't care for it much and i'm pretty confident i'm not stupid.

And funny and smart doesn't necessarily make a game. These are great qualities for a game to have, but you could still have a funny, smart AND also boring game.
