Those characters look cool but they look more like mega blocks than lego...either way, it must have taken some time to put them together. As far as anime vs realistic, the beauty of FF is that it can go either way or a mix of both. I personally like the mix though I love the all the way anime style of the Tales series.
With these low scores, people are going to avoid this game like the plague. Which means, SE will be losing some serious money...which means, they'll need something to put some pep in thier finances....which means.....a FFVII remake might be seriously thought about to give thier deep pockets a boost and recoop what they might be losing with this game. You know SE loves to throw them remakes around to pad thier wallets.
I think making FFXI an offline game could be done. FXII was pretty much had an offline MMO feel to it. The only thing is they would have to figure out a way to streamline the story & add some character development cause that game has none. It'll be basically your character doing all these missions & quest, hiring some mercs to help him along the way & teaming up with other groups for those fun big battles. Now that I think about it, it'll be kind of tough to make the game interesting as an offline game.
Whether you like the art of FFXIII more or not is completely irrelevant to this conversation. From a technical standpoint, the Uncharted games look better. That is a fact. Get over it and move onvalereth-1

I think this goes with any form of entertainment. Whether it's movies or music or gaming...don't let no one tell you, you shouldn't play, hear, or see something because they think it sucks. You might actually enjoy what the next person hates. It's just human nature. Let it be.
valereth-1...either you're playing games with a magnifyn glass or you really just don't like FFXIII. That's cool. You don't have to but my opinion is that FFXIII looks incredible. I've played UC and that's a good looking game too...but whether it has jaggies or not, I feel FFXIII presents itself better overall. I don't think it being a multiplatform game diminishes the quality at all. Especially in the case of the PS3 version.
I don't care it the hair in one game looks better or "hick ups" and pop up appear...overall...FFXIII looks very detailed & is a step above the original Uncharted. I can't say anothing about the GOWIII vs FXIII as I haven't played the game yet (I own it, just haven't played it).
Now everything you say might be fact to you, but it's not for everyone....which makes your "fact" an opinion. Facts can't be debateable...which in this case...it is. Example...Yankees won their 27th World Series Championship in 2009. FACT. Can't be denied...debated. FFXIII looks better than Pong. FACT. Can't be denied or debated. UC or GOWIII looks better than FFXIII is an opinion...it can be denied and debated.
Seeing as they already got FFXIV in the pipeline...and can possibly come out this year....I think they'll take a hiatus from FFXV & possibly work on other games like Versus or KH3 or something new....and maybe even FFVII.
I swear they got a secret lab somewhere...and that game is being made so secretly that people would be more likely to prove aliens exist before anyone can prove a FFVII remake is being worked on. They gotta know that this is what 99.8% of all FF fans want. I'm sure they made a nice cargo boat load of money just off the downloadable version on PSN. They must be testing the waters to see if people are still interested.
A remake will grab all those who love it, didn't get to play it, hated it but want to see if the newer version is better, and people who are just discovering RPG's....like back in 1997. What do they see that we don't....what time frame are they waiting to spring it on us. SE is so devious.
I'm usually a sucker for CE edition of games only to think to myself...was it really worth that extra $10-$40 bucks. This would be over twice the amount of the standard edition. You could buy two copies of FFXIII & it would still be cheaper than the CE version. There's something really wrong with that picture, espeicially since you're not getting an extra game with that package. Just a Sound track (which isn't bad at all), so artwork & stuff. I will be passing this up. But probably wishing I had that spare dough to get it, deep inside.
What a vivid picture you paint. Not coke off the back of a prostitute....and an expensive one at that. I think I've heard so many complaints about the game that I swear it's FFXII all over again...and FFXI.....and FFX. But it selling well so it's a lock for another one to come. We'll that's a given since FFXIV is already made and in Beta form...but FFXV should be a lock to be made with all this money SE is about to make. Scrooge McDuck would be envious.
