When I saw this at PAX East it made me want to buy an XBox 360 on the spot. It was like the original Ninja Gaiden with a stealth element and updated graphics. I still haven't forgiven Klei for deciding not to distribute this through Steam.
If it's *really* true to the original series the game itself could easily be free if they simply charge for adult content.
Oh, you wanted to see Xena? Or better yet, Gladiator_Bob_xxx_69, you want to talk to her? Just call the 900 number on your screen. Call now and you'll get fifty cents off the first five minutes! Or you can click the link below and be taken to a live video chat for the low, low price of a dollar a minute!
@Kenshin0011 You're nitpicking: A next-gen console with a separate gamepad - which is essentially a tablet that offloads its processing to the console - is pretty impressive at $250, if it's true.
The most expensive component in smart phones, tablets, and inexpensive laptops is the monitor - especially touch screen monitors. It will be much more expensive than a Wii controller (which is already $50 retail); I'd guess between $75 and $100, minimum.
Like I said, I'm not all that jazzed about the WiiU - I think it's overly gimmicky - but the price is much, much lower than I'd expected.
The WiiU seems like a mistake - Nintendo has certainly had their fair share of failures - but I have to admit, if this is accurate I might just be wrong.
The 7" tablet I just bought my wife was $200 by itself. A tablet and next-gen hardware (well, can't say for certain what the hardware is, yet, but quad-core and custom 45nm GPU) for $250 is very, very inexpensive.
@markypants My only question is why you used a mid-sized tower with a Micro ATX board? Why not take advantage of its smaller size, especially if the goal is to plunk it down next to the television?
