The lack of any sort of texture filtering was what really caused the 3D graphics to never be able to look very good.But some developers still did a fine job with what was there.The FFIV remake was particularly nice looking, thanks to a nice transfer of the JRPG graphic style from 2D to 3D.
I do find this to be a big problem, and is why I have no intention of getting a 3DS any time soon.However yes, it took the DS about a year for it to have a viable game library, and eventually the library became one of the best in history I would say, so it's all just a matter of time.Also the ridiculous price needs a drop, but that's inevitable.
Try unplugging it and plugging back in and see if it works normally.It's really not a good idea to keep any battery on the charger almost constantly because it can cause the battery to malfunction, and will shorten the lifespan of the battery dramatically.This goes for any electronic device you can think of.
