I thought it was good- nothing quite as groundbreaking as the hype surrounding it but good in an old school, 2D way.  The difficulty was clever in that it was rarely frustrating and there's no real way to run out of lives but at the same time some of the side-quests and bonus material still eludes me.  The vehicle transformations were great, very reminiscent of Yoshi's Island.  Over all, definitely worth the sub $20 price tag these days IMO.

I remembered thinking Superman 64 could have had a bit of potential if not for the flying stages that have resulted in many a thrown controller.. Looking back, even that's being far too generous.  Your best bet is to pick up Lego Batman 2 and pretend Superman is the titular character :\

You must be searching for a new old stock unit I assume as I picked up a Slim with controller and connections on eBay a few weeks back for $35

It's the controller I'm most curious about- all this talk of motion sensors and LCD screens.. Not sure what to make of that.  Even if Sony reveals the system on the 20th, we could still be talking about a year or more before official release no?

The first one had the good fortune of dropping in an era that's now become known as the "mascot wars"- Nintendo had Mario, Sega had Sonic and the next thing you know you had Sprocket and Awesome Possum and Rocky Rodent and Donkey Kong Country, Mr. Nutz, Zero the Kamikazi Squirrel, Saprkster (Rocket Knight Adventurea) and on and on.  That said, the first game was halfway decent, if not remarkable, in comparison to some of the other 2D platformers mentioned.  The sequels just kept getting worse and worse.  I stuck with the franchise until the one they made for Jaguar and it's pretty much unplayable.

[QUOTE="sora16perfect"]Wow, is it really this serious?faizan_faizan
? It's very serious for Graphic Lovers, I'm not just a gamer, I actually look deep into Computer Graphics, AND IT'S ABOUT TIME WE ARE DOING THIS IN REAL TIME, CG had this like 8 Years Ago.

I have often wondered where the snag in tools used to create CG films would make their way to our industry has been- Has this been primarily due to the high cost of the software until now?

I too am curious about the technology; and am a big supporter of competiton in the marketplace (we all benefit after all). Should be interesting for sure!

If you couldn't afford a decent gaming P.C., the original Xbox was a must.

This isn't too far off base- Having purchased all 3 platforms that gen (4 if you count Dreamcast); it did seem like most of the titles I considered must-have for the XBox were either avaialble for all of the systems or, at the very least, PC as well.

I remember wanting to support it better than I ended up but it was difficult with the Sony train (and Nintendo's pretty attractive first party stuff on the GameCube). I ended up doing exactly what I hoped not to: Favoring the PS2 throughout most of the 6th generation.

It's a tough call- I feel like I can convince myself that the better one is whatever one I'm playing at the time; even though Yoshi's Island definitely represents some of my fave video gaming memories. I like how The New Super Mario Bros (wii) integrates the look and style of Super Mario World with the witch/ boss battles reminiscent of Yoshi's Island. The "push down to make eggs" element would have been an absolutely awesome addition in the few moments that you do encounter Yoshi in my opinion as well.

Hmm after revisiting Pirates of the Carribbean The Legend of Jack Sparrow on PS2, I'm not sure about the OP's claim :\
