Ghouls and ghost's for the sega comes to mind. But the most recent has to be God of War fighting the minotaur boss. I do not know what it was about him, but he killed me for a solid 5 hours.
Tales of the Abyss for the ps2 is probably the best choice if you are limited on the ps3, but if you got a 360 I must agree Tales of Vesperia fits the description for the game you are looking for.
Left 4 Dead has some scary moments, but they are rare and they are not too scary, just mainly you go around a corner and a tank is standing there. I heard Dead Space is probably the best from a few people.
I dont care if a game is multiplat, but the way they announced it at E3 just pissed me off, the dude left the stage and I was like sweet still PS3 exclusive, then the bastard came back and was like OH YEA I FORGOT FFXIII IS MULTIPLAY LAWLS.
I personally loved the game at first and could not put it down, but now I just pop it in every now and then and have some fun with a level or 2 then do something else. That to me seems worth my purchase even if i do not play it for extended periods of time it is always fun to come back to.
Given it has only been a month, and this may not hold true a few months from now, but I believe it could.
Is there a way to make the box that is like "SoandSo is online/offline" to be smaller or not appear, this thing distracts me quite often, most games arent so bad, but when I am playing SC4 it is quite annoying.
