Half-Life 3 can take as long as it wants. I think the one main reason why I don't fear it turning out like Duke Nukem Forever is because in my opinion, 3D realms just couldn't handle the evolution of technology. They kept scrapping it to rebuild it with a new game engine over and over again because they were tempted with stupid things like how it was going to look or bump mapping on Duke's biceps. Where as Valve is not tempted by new technology because they are new technology. The Source engine is so adaptable that they don't need to worry about scrapping the game. They can just tweak their engine. There for a lot of time is going to go into story and characters, and game play, and not so much the worry of how it's going to look.

Knock it off. Stop telling me to accept piss poor choices in the design room. The idea of forcing players to only use a flash light or a gun was not thrilling nor interesting. It was a poor choice and it only served to make me feel like my marine was an idiot for not taping a light to his gun, and or the actual marine corps were financially unstable and couldn't afford lights on their helmets or shoulders. It only served to remove me from the atmosphere and gave me frustration not excitement. Saying that changing this is a slap to the face of fans who liked it, is a slap to the face to the MANY fans that did not. If fan A is happy with the poor design choice it doesn't make fan B who disliked it for obvious reasons any less warrant to a better product, and only goes to show that fan A will take any type of shovelled crap that "id" will give them and say it tasted delicious.

Same with Mass Effect, I'm not going to take the fully un-inspired ending and say "Boy guys, thanks for that artistic ending you guys made, it really opened my eyes. Deep message received." When in fact the only reason it ever existed in the first place is so that they could play puppet and master and shove more DLC packages down our throats. Even if it is free, that is not to say that it wasn't planned to cost money at one point as a bonus material and they decided to make it free because almost every fan was going to pick up pitch forks. We invested years to Mass Effect, and damn anyone who tells us that we don't deserve some fan respect. Here is quote from Stephen King about writing. They got carried away with their over bloated sense of self worth and thought of them selves as god among men. When really they just got lazy and dumb.

This is all my opinion of course, but still, if players are so sad about the fact the flashlight in doom is now changed, than go back and play DOOM 3..it is unchanged. They could always add the option as well to choose from either one. But most importantly, don't you dare tell a group of people that they are not right..it's a horrible choice on anyone's part.

I hate articles like this. It almost only serves as fuel for the fanboy war. yes I get it, getting people riled up for a system will sell it better, but I can think of so many ways to say this better than they did. How about like, "The Wii U offered us newer technology to bring fans a better visual experience, but all 3 consoles will still be a blast" I'm getting it on the PC anyway but still, I love my ps3 and I hate how console fans are actually lead into a war.

Ways to make this movie work. Have it silent as in main character doesn't talk..but have morgan Freeman do the narrating like in march of the penquins.

So I haven't been following this but I loved number 3. Do you still get to make a character and if you die does he die for good? It does not really seem that way from the trailer.

I'm no expert but, working at a Gamestore my self, Crysis 2 was sold quite a bit. I'm pretty sure it made a profit. Big or small, well that is the real question. Sadly not everyone bought Haze though.......

I can admit the game is really rough, but oddly I beat it 3 times and I'm getting the DLC. Just stupid action that I don't mind shutting my brain of for.

Huh.....that's really interesting. Of course, everything has to be taken lightly, always 400 sides to a story really. Though I wouldn't be surprised if this was really true. Just for what reason is the real question.

You know, E.S games are fantastic, and I believe they can make a great MMO if they put the same amount of care and time into this game as they do their single player ones. In my opinion though, screw E.S for mmo, give me a Fallout MMO done right, (Not really considering the one being made at this time..I doubt it will ever see the light of day.) I have had enough of all this fantasy mmo stuff, every MMO is doing it..I want future, destruction, guns. Fallen Earth had the right idea just badly made.
