LIke some of the others said, 3 of these games are already greatest hits in europe and have been for awhile. That's why I assumed that the U.S was due to get the greatest hits on those particular games and why I've been "waiting" for them. While I noted those particular games off the top of my head, my post was just "in general" wondering why the PS3 has been lacking greatest hits releases.

I've only had my PS3 slim since September and have already purhased more than 20 games for it. But I still look for deals when buying games, tried to scoop up all the "must have" games that were already discounted to 19.99-ish or were greatest hits. I also got a bunch of new games because Amazon had some massive sales for the holidays. No way in hell I'm goign to pay 56.99 for Resistance 2 or Killzone when I can get a $10 credit on a brand new pre-ordered game like Gran Turismo V or God of War III from Amazon to make it CHEAPER than a game that's been out around a year.

Little Big Planet just game out with a "Game of the Year Edition". So they will probably milk that for as long as they can, before finally putting out a greatest hits. Then again Call of Duty 4 never got a "greatest hits" either. That thing has been out for 2+ YEARS. You can add that as another game long overdue.

What is the deal with the lack of greatest hits releases?

I've been holding off buying these (since I first got PS3 when the slim came out,). I figured these have all been out awhile and didn't want to buy it, then have the price drop soon after. I figured at least 1 or 2 would definitely have been out before Christmas. Any idea when these will be made greatest hits for 29.99 or less?? Any other games that are OBVIOUSLY due to be made a greatest hits, that still haven't?

It is pretty solid online (only tried PUBLIC beta). At least it has dedicated servers and basically looks like the other FPS multiplayers that are out there. But nothing in the Beta makes me want to run out and buy it day 1, will wait and see what happens when the FULL release comes out and what features are REALLY in the multiplayer. If it the Beta was it, and there's nothing else to the game but more maps, then there is no way I'm buying it at full price. The multiplayer is better than Modern Warfare 2. But I think Bad Company 2 will be my game for awhile. I might even upgrade my PC to get BC2 on PC. Even though MAG seems decent enough as of now I don't see myself getting it. While the multiplayer is OK, it is not good enough to justify being a standalone with no single player modes.

It is disappointing. Not really crap though. If I were scoring it I'd probably give it about a 6.5 or a 7. If it had a decent single player campaign to add it might be an 8.0 type game. The lack of ANY single player kind of kills it for me. Same reason i did not buy Warhawk. I like having at least 6+ hours of single player to go back to.

Pretty much this. It is a solid online shooter. The problem is it doesn't seem better than what's already out there,and it COMPLETELY lacks a single player campaign.

Other than the 256 players, which IS an achievement on a console, there is really nothing apparantly different or better. I have a feeling if you ever get 256 players it just turns into a giant grenade/spam fest. Even without 256 players I've already seen several games turn into grenade fests when everything goes to "base C". I don't know how many players are at that point but the grenades start flying. You can't even step near a window without getting hit.

Just played the public Beta today for about 2 hours. It's pretty good. I think it will be better than Modern Warfare 2 online. But it HAS to be considering it is multiplayer only, and Modern Warfare 2 was disappointing to alot of people in how it's online was executed. MAG has dedicated servers, which should make it more stable for most people without the annoying "host migrating.." issues like on Modern Warfare.

Good game. But not near good enough to be a day one buy at full price. I'm waiting for Bad Company 2 and the reviews of MAG. If the full relese of MAG gets good reviews I might be convinced to pick it up if I see it on a discount (~39.99 or less).

I have like $8 left in my wallet so i wanna get some cool Dead Space Add ons, but i don't know which ones are good or bad. I tried to find out on my own but can only find crap about Dead Space 2 lol. So anybody have some or all of the add-ons and can tell me which ones let you go beast mode on some aliens? Thanks in advance guys.

Don't fall for it. Paying for Add-ons/in game skins is stupid. Especially when they are so trivial as the add ons in Dead Space. A suit? Skins for you weapons? Get out of here. It's bad enough now we have games like Dragon Age:Origins and Assassins Creed 2 where they insult your intelligence by having the add-on content obnoxiously visible/advertised in the original game (way to kill the immersion experience asking if I want to download a quest). I wish people would send developers a different mssage than to keep buying this garbage. At the very least, use your $8 and buy a PS1 game, or even a PSN game that has been discounted a little. Plenty of games on PSN for under $10.

Hell renting a movie would be a better use of $$$. Just my opinion of course.

Yeah. I found a few other people discussing it on other websites. Not sure what is going on. Going to chapter select seems to work OK. Hopefully it doesn't do it again if I try the game on crushing. I might smash a controller if I lose progress there. It's bad enough having to do all over again on hard.
