The wii is only down 2 thousand sales from the 360 and the wii has been out for a year less! Wii is dominating even though its more of a family toy then a hardcore gaming console.

Wrong! The Wii is an interactive gaming system. Just because your grandma or any other family members think that it's fun to play does not mean it's just a family toy. Hell even my grandma enjoyed playing my gameboy when I was a kid! But yet you dont see people calling the gameboy just some family toy.
