With the PS3 now more consumer friendly being at 400 bucks, other gaming platforms can't compete. The Wii is a fad that will die shortly and the 360 is done now that Halo 3 is forgotten.

Thanks for the laundry list, (I'm sure someone else will do the same with the other systems, greatly contributing to another unreadable, boring thread) but how does that address that the competition won't cease to put out games, reduce price, and add features? How will Sony, the underdog, take the most expensive console (even after the price cuts) on the market and make it number one?

Added, although I believe SOCOM still has a chance for this year, and I just put up the games that have been confirmed to be announced. Something tells me that Moto 2 and Resist 2 might be either late 2008 or early 2009.

Although those look to be amazing games, 360 has a very strong lineup as well. It also has a headstart and its 07 lineup is/was about as strong a year can be for a console. I think whoever wins this gen its going to be a very close margin.

Thanks Wii, we need an all-caps ramble-o-matic of the available Wii games, with of course no actual commentary from either side on how these games will drive system sales. Further, no one questioned the Wii's selling power - it's the least expensive console, and Nintendo self-drives.

WiiFit will probably outsell the PS3 next year.

Along with Brawl and Mario Kart, will outsell all those PS3 games list, combined.

Actually I am very serious.

Ok wii will do fine in the sales department but those games you listed will do little to spur sales. Wii basically sales to non gamers as you can see with how the games are selling on the system outside of nintendo titles. That lineup looks like gamecube 2.0 with a mix of some ps2 ports and a few medicore exclusives. As far as I am concerned Wii is a joke.
