An ambitious attempt by the best TBS maker
I'm a die hard fan of the original Xcom UFO Enemy Unknown and have never tiered of it. I've avoided many of the wannabe successors except Xcom Apocalypse which I also enjoyed. I'm very please with Firaxis version. I f... Read Full Review

Firaxis' reboot of the classic gaming series almost gets to those lofty heights... but falls just that little bit short.
Okay. As a lover of the original series, I'm going to get this out here at the very start. Compared to the three previous 'proper' (i.e. TB strategy) 'X-Com's, this reboot is dumbed down. And yes. I mean dumbed down -... Read Full Review

X-COM's extreme difficulty will turn most players away. This is the "its not very fun" type of hard.
The Good: Lots of unique and interesting upgrades and research, cool alien designs, intense battles, great UI The Bad: Maps repeat too often, extreme difficulty nearly breaks the game, camera can be screwy, losing sol... Read Full Review

Finally, XCOM gets the re-imagining it deserves. This is a well made update of the early 90s original. Superb!
A perfect re-imagining of the original XCOM. It's a superb blend of tactical combat and base/resource management. You can tell these programmers loved the original, they gave it the respect it deserved, and delivered ... Read Full Review

Things that were much better in the original version: -Let you manage your soldier's equipment by weight/strength - too much stuff, less movement unless strong -Squads up to 10 on first turn!!!!! -Random map gen... Read Full Review

Great game, i feel like the first time i play it on my 486 computer. Same kind of game, same strategie, same feeling.
X-Com is a classic. Human vs alien, everybody gearing up, bigger enemy stronger weapons. What's not to like. My favorite part is the leveling up of the team member. The nickname is a great add-on to. It's will be mor... Read Full Review

Great tribute to the classic, tactical gameplay is great. Gorgeous. Weak on the geoscape strategy level.
This is the highly anticipated classic XCOM / UFO reboot. Although I expected more, I was not disappointed by this game. As with the original game (which IMO is still the best game ever developed) is divided in to pi... Read Full Review

If you love strategy turn based games then this game will please, but it is a rather short game story wise.
First off I was very addicted to this game, I like the games that break the norm of top classified genres. This game reminds me of the good ol' days playing fallout 1 or 2... I never really got into the older X-Com for ... Read Full Review

We need more of this type of game.
This is the first game I can remember where gameplay video actually sold the game for me. Usually I either want a game, or not, regardless of what pre-release info comes out. But after seeing the turn-based tactical pl... Read Full Review

Xcom 2012 at last!
I waited a long time for this release after owning and playing the original series for 20 years. If you are new to XCOM: It is a turn based (TB) strategy game with great 3D graphics. You run an organisation which ne... Read Full Review
