Gears Of War VS. Halo 3

Gotta go wit Halo

Gears was good but didnt last long for me. I think i did more co op on gears then multi player. Halo never gets old

I don't think Gears is a bad game but just personally I think the gameplay is a little too slow-paced and kinda boring.

Very true.....it can be very clunky and slow as hell.....but still a good game

pretty much everyone i know who owns a xbox 360 owns their own copy of halo 3

I can understand why one would compare these two, they are one of the biggest games for the 360. But I gotta tell ya dude, these games are really different from another right.. so why compare?

I have both games, but whats so good about halo 3? Its your typical fps.

halo 3 was pretty good, but waaay overhyped. It brang almost nothing new to the table, except equipment.

Gears was AWESOME, it was original and just plain fun.

In Halo 3, if someone shoots you from behind, 99.8% you're dead. And the maps are way too big for midgets to be running around to be shooting each other

While in Gears of War the cover system, let's you to retreat,and replenish health. It takes a lot more strategy in Gears of War

The scarb explosion is bigger then any in Gears, and the lancer sound so underpowered.

And no, halo did not even look close to a original Xbox game. I also noticed in your sig you say Halo's campaign had no story and had a bad conclusion. Makes me wonder how you fell about the single player for Gears.

Halo 3 in every catagory, even graphics i feel are better pollished and smoother, but sometimes i feel like poping in gears and shooting ppl in the dome-peice

I'm a fan of both, but honestly, Halo 3 is heavily over-rated. It feels like it's geared towards a much younger crowd, which I don't like. Everything is so bright and clean, and the story was extremely boring. The multiplayer was okay, but I honestly can't stand the people on X-Box live so that pretty much kills my interest in it.

Gears of War just felt so much more gritty, violent, serious, and dark. At the risk of getting flamed by dozens of middle-schoolers, I have to admit thatGoW makes Halo look like a Disney movie. Not to mention the cooperative mode was much more fun. Four-player coop is cool, but GoW was just so much better.

People who didn't like Gears must have been turned off by the difficulty. Halo 3 is accessible to even 3rd graders. It's geared toward kids. ANybody get teh feeling though that gears of war purposely named the game that so it sounded like God of War? I mean there was nothing in the game really that said those guys were gears except for some quick dialouge saying it in passing.. Just my two cents.

Gears has better gameplay if you play the game the way its ment to be played. Instead of a shotty fest and get yelled at using the lancer.

Both Communities suck, But to me the gears of war community is by far the worst ive seen.

Halo 3 would get my vote for the fun factor. Gearsonlineis worse, but could be 10 x better than it is now.

sorry if i double posted but wasnt people complaining so bad that it was too much like halo 2? or was that just graphics wise. i personally see were your coming from. I was more addicted to halo 2 than play a week of halo 3 and im done.

Hard choice but i go for Halo 3 the 4 player coop and online was alot of fun, still Gears of War was a great game to grim for me tho

um...you honnestly dont know were GEARS comes from?!?! Isnt it the military group that there in COG? and dont cogs form gears? so if Marcus is a cog, then hes in the gears military group...get back on track..halo 3 is more bright and clean because thats its art style, not DESTROYED BEAUTY like gears of war. Every game has its own style and halos art style just attracks a lot of kids.
