My Mii Plaza has over 70 passes, and I've had the system for almost a month. As for DOA: D, I have had maybe around 20, but I think that one is less popular. Most people in my Mii Plaza are playing SSFIV, which I don't own yet :P I'll admit, I probably have more luck getting Spot/StreePasses because for me, I take the system to work, and where I work has high traffic volume. I work at Disneyland... :P So you could imagine, I have a much higher chance of getting a streetpass with someone than most normal people. yoshi_64

Anyway, how's DoA, I've been planning to get it since it's release but haven't made up the mind.I've only completed two pictures... a lot of people I've street passed with actually didn't have any new pieces for me when I would interact with them. :( i must streetpass more often than the normal person lol. As for DOA: D, I'm loving it. One of my favorite games on the 3DS right now. At first it took me some time to get used to the D-pad and Circle pad for fighting games, but to be honest... it works well for me. I use the D pad more so, but I've played SSFIV on it and that one I used the circle pad more often. I think it depends on your preferences. It's not an arcade stick, sure, but since everyone has the same handicap, online play has never been infuriating, and I feel my skills are only to blame if I lose a match. :P
I love that Team Ninja is giving away free DLC via SpotPass, but it's only available if you have the game and the days they are giving the DLC away. Right now, for the month of August, they've been giving the DLC away (it's repeated DLC), because I think they're readying new DLC, but they're giving everyone a third chance at getting the old DLC first.
I don't buy handhelds or consoles unless they have a huge catalog of exclusives that look good and are dirt cheap. The 3DS is neither of those so no buy.
I'm just waiting for more quality games to get to the system. They'll get there I know but I have no reason to buy a 3DS since I'm still playing DS games.

Well for me, I'm not at all interested in this 3D craze. I would prefer a more powerful DS over stupid 3D gimmicks. The battery life seems like a killer, and the lack of games at the moment makes me want to wait for the next rennovation of the 3DS. Weren't there rumors of them making one that has dual analog and no 3D function?

I see nothing interesting on it, Nintendo systems seem always pretty boring to me so i'll never bother with their systems ever again. they sure got me interested in RPGs and pokemon but those days were when i was a kid. i moved on :D. Vita is the kind of handheld i always wanted to own. it has so much! :cry:
I dont own it because I dont want a handheld. I drive to work and pretty much everywhere else so I never use a public transportation. No idea where would I game on it. When Im on vacation, I always prefer a good book (for example The Witcher :) ) to a handheld. If I wanted a handheld, it would most certainly be a 3DS though.
The last handheld I owned was a gameboy advance SP, which was just a gameboy advance with a backlight. It's about time I upgraded. Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D and Street Fighter / Dead or Alive Dimensions have made these first few months of the 3DS's life is worth it. Now it costs only $170! If you can get a secondhand for even cheaper, there's just no excuse. A 3DS is like a portable console. If you don't know when you'd play it, then play it whenever you would play Xbox or PS3.
If I want Ocarina of time and Starfox 64 I'll just play them on the n64. Everything else has been pretty much crap save a few exceptions like street fighter 4.

Oh, ok, If I'm not mistaking MK7 comes out in December though. Not a long wait if you buy the 3DS in November along with SM3DL As for Revelation, they have some up, the latest one that was in gonintendo was pretty cool.
Have been tempted recently to buy one for my g/f, she would love it especially with those girly hello kitty covers and such, lack of games and price point (yes in New Zealand it still sells for $380 after price drop) are what has kept me from a purchase.

I dont get the point then though - I have PS3 and Wii in my living room with 50" plasma TV and decent HiFi, why should I go to my bedroom and play 3DS? Also I even now have barely any time to read a book, if I bought a handheld, I would probably stop reading books completely and THEN I would finally feel like a proper idiot :)
Because im gaming on my place only , dont need to gaming in the bus , taxi , vacations or even worse ...my girlfriends place!! Thats why i dont own a 3ds or any other handheld. In the end you just play subpar games VS what you can play on consoles/PC. Why to do that? So i can kill my time even when im not home?!! NO WAY!! I got a life you know!! :)

I never play on the go. So there's no reason to go handheld when I've got a 360. I do own an Xperia Play though, which has better games than the 3DS IMO.
Because I don't really care that much for handheld gaming. The only handheld I've ever owned is a DS Lite that I won in a contest, and I haven't played it in like a year.
Because Nintendo's handheld revision's make me regret buying the first iteration (GBA SP and DS Lite to name a few). And, you know, the games. 2012 has some nice stuff coming out but I still want to wait for a revision.
The battery life isn't THAT bad! Just bring your charger with you if you plan to play for an extended period of time. Seriously, who is going to be playing their 3DS for 3+ hours away from home and no where near an AC outlet? If you're on a long road trip in a vehicle, then buy a car charger. You act like you're going to buy brand new AA batteries for each play session (wii remote, anyone?). It's rechargable; I doubt the average person will be away from a power source and playing 3DS for 3 whole hours.
