Uncharted 3 vs Mass Effect 3

Both Come out on the Holiday Season and Both are the 3rd Titles of their Franchises and Both have a lot of Hype behind them.

Have we forgotten about Gears 3?!

It's hard for me to compare these two games, but here goes. I think U3 will have better combat and action mechanics, while ME3 will have better dialogue and story.

Gears of War 3?

Sure Gears of War 2 got some Game of The Year Awards but I believe these 2 games will duke out for that award more than any other Game next Year.

I like the Mass Effect franchise a little more, but I love them both and they're both day one purchases for me. 2011 is going to be crazy.

I don't think this works very well anymore as a catfight because they're both on PS3... :P

I like Uncharted 3 more, but these two are undoubtedly the two best new series of the gen imo.

Exactly ;).

Not to downplay Uncharted's story / dialogue or Mass' gameplay though! I do think that Uncharted 2 does a better job at storytelling than Mass 2 does at level design though.

What is an RPG if it doesn't nail the story? What better way to convey a story than through pristine dialogue?

The Last Guardian will be a sleeper hit.

and Poor Nintendo...I think they really need to step their game up because with these two games I can't hype up Zelda...:(

I would hardly call the combat in Mass Effect 2 as average -- it was well executed, just was gimped by the dumb-as-rocks friendly AI the game gave you....save for Grunt. Krogans are a piece of cake to nail as far as combat goes. Make 'em strong and give 'em a strong shield and shotgun.

ME3

Mass Effect 3 will be on PS3. So it won't matter. :P

PS3 gamers get both so, in this case, they win no matter what. I'll probably enjoy U3 more though.

I still haven't played any mass effect games so I'll probably buy mass effect 2 on the ps3 and mass effect 3 if it comes to the ps3King_Cow
