As long as you're playing it on Xbone, PS4 or PC the game will look great.

PS4 still looks good but there is a smoothness and depth to the PC version. The lighting and shadows play a big part in that

Agreed. The gap is huge. At this point. we might as well already declair the pc a generation ahead.

No need to show the xbox1 version, it's already been confirmed to be better than the PS4 version thanks to the cloud!

Ummm, OK but at what cost? What PC set up was that running on? How much was the GPU doing the work. I can see the point of PC gaming if you have already made the leap and all you have to every 2 or 3 years is pop in a new graphics card. But for people like me to move into PC gaming, I'd have to build a rig, buy a monitor and so on. If I did that right now I'd be looking at $1500 easily Vs. $4-500 for a new console. TBH, unless Im doing side by side comparisons, I wont care all that much.

It looked amazing, especially the physics. I don't know, but I just love games that innovate in physics or contribute. And it seems as if every next gen game is doing that as well. I say, fvck those who said we don't need the next gen consoles.

Did Ubi had a partnership with Nvidia? It seems as if almost every Ubi game is featuring Nvidia exclusive features, with Assassin's Creed 3, Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, Blacklist supporting TXAA. Not sure why Far Cry 3 did not. Was it developed by a different studio?

this looks great. PS4 is obviously more powerful than the xbone, so Im actuallly curious to see how it'll look on the xbox one. I just hope that all multiplats aren't limited now by xboxone's hardware. I wan't to see everygame use the full power of the ps4 rather than have to be dumbed down to cater for the other system.

It is using TXAA, it was stated in the article and it was also shown an image I saw on the Watch Dogs' forums.

Looks very beautiful, can't wait to play it on PS4.

The difference between PS4 and PC is minimal really, and that's what I expect at the beginning of the generation.

Looks pretty much identical between PC and PS4 with the latter missing some bokeh dof for the rain drops, but that's still not final code so they may very well fixed that by release. It's pointless to do comparison at this stage since we still need to see if the PC version also changed in the final code. But graphically I'd be content if PS4 version looks exactly as it is in the demo. My feeling tells me xbox1 version might run at sub 1080p and missing effects.

Pray_to_me

It was running on a 680 which you can get for around $400.  Or you could get a 7970 which costs less and has similar performance.  Or if you are a smart you can get a 670 and over clock it for 350 or so.  And if you are pro you could just get a 7950 for sub 300 and overclock the hell out of it.  Or you could get the new 760 or 770.  None of these cards are over $400.  Some as low as $250 or less depending on what sale is going on.

A $400 gpu can't run games by itself, it needs the rest of the components too.

what about wii uCuby_Finest

PC, Xbone and PS4 are the main platforms. This version will be scaled back to WiiU, 360 and PS3, expect those versions to look way worse.

this is a strong point. Great we know that PC has the best graphics (which is OBVIOUS) but for PS4's price, its visuals will be relatively comparable for teh 399 prictag.

True, however a PC can do more than a console and to me, that justifies its high price entry.

the guy asked on what GPU and the price of said GPU.  He didn't ask about a build so I simply answered his question.  Some people just need to simply upgrade their GPU you know.  You don't go out a build a new rig every time you upgrade your computer.

Agreed. The gap is huge. At this point. we might as well already declair the pc a generation ahead.

Yeah... thats why I had to keep looking to the top left corner of my screen to see if it was PC or PS4 version... such a big difference

Consoles tend to hold their own against PC visuals for a year or 2 into their life cycle, with only small advantages on the PC side... for most people anyway.

My GTX 660TI, i7 @ 3.05Ghz & 12 GB of 1600Mhz RAM is going to have a hard time running Watch Dogs at 1080p at a solid framerate I'm afraid. I'm still undetermined as to whether opt for PS4 or PC version.

I really don't want to upgrade my PC again for another 2 years.

A $400 gpu can't run games by itself, it needs the rest of the components too.

the guy asked on what GPU and the price of said GPU.  He didn't ask about a build so I simply answered his question.  Some people just need to simply upgrade their GPU you know.  You don't go out a build a new rig every time you upgrade your computer.

And some don't. What about the poor bastards who's mobo doesn't even support PCI-E x16?

Watch dogs looks great

seanmcloughlin

Not as good as GTA V

They say in the video how Watch Dogs has almost no pop-in. I'm sure GTA V will have lots.

But from a gameplay perspective, GTA V will be king.

Either they only play retro games or they aren't interested at all in PC gaming.

PC looks better but what kind of PC? A PC where the graphics card alone costs double the price of a PS4? Not really worth it.

Pray_to_me

When you puy things that way... the price of the extra graphics vs price of PC do make the PS4 look more tempting.

PS4 still looks good but there is a smoothness and depth to the PC version. The lighting and shadows play a big part in that

Agreed. The gap is huge. At this point. we might as well already declair the pc a generation ahead.

Aaaaand then you can go ahead and buy a new card when next gen really hits its stride and we're not playing PS360 ports such as watch dogs. Gonna need to upgrade your CPU which means new mobo, new OS or if you have a licence you still need to reinstall all your shit should take you a day not including reasearching parts, waiting for them to ship, building the shit. And then still you'll still be stuck playing X-Box one ports and maybe one or two Kickstarter funded exclusives that may or may not ever release.

Ooooor just get a PS4, all these mutiplats and real actual exclusives not crowd funded pipe dreams. 400 bucks and set for 5-10 years. Boom, Done, Easy.Â
