No, actually, I'm a huge Fire Emblem fan (or was if the series keeps going down the crapper). It's the only Nintendo series I actually care about.
First, the spirtes. While I wholeheartedly prefer the 3D models used in RD and PoR, the sprites (and the maps as well) felt underwhelming. There's doing 2D right and 2D wrong, and I'd call that doing 2D wrong.
2nd where was the voice acting? It's 2011, more than FMVs should be fully voiced and 3DS carts have more than enough room. And Fire Emblem is very text heavy. It's one game that needs it. But going off Radiant Dawn, I'm sure I can expect the bare minimum.
3rd The character portraits. It's so much more... anime than I'd like it to be. In Valkyria Chronicles 3, yeah, those would look at home but not FE (at least for me).
4th The music! I know I heard at least one of those tracks before in a previous game. I really dislike it when developers reuse music.
5th The graphics in the battle scenes. Maybe it's because of the quality of the video but... ew. I definitely prefer Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn's battle scenes.
On a good note, I guess, it seems like you can travel between towns like in Sacred Stones. Hopefully it's an all around better game, though.
Rehashing? You're judging the entire sountrack on a piece of stock music they made for the trailer? Low production values? Did you see those battle scenes?Unnecessarily low production values and rehashing are weird complaints?
Like I said, there's 2D done right (like Vanillaware titles) and there's 2D done wrong (which is what I'd call this). I'd rather have the 3D models in RD/PoR than these sprites.

Nintendo rehashes tracks in many of their games. It's no secret. Am I saying the entire track is rehashed? No, but rehashing music is still rehashing - and it's something I dislike. Yes, I saw those battle scenes. I think you'll see how I was complaining about them in my above post because they look worse than they should. Lack of voice acting is also a huge problem. There's really no excuse at this point besides not wanting to spend more money on the game.

Since when did voice acting become the Holy grail of game design? Not every game needs it, and Zelda sure as s*** doesn't.[QUOTE="DarkLink77"]Came here to ask the same question lol, so anyone when is sony's ? here you go.. found it on Gamepro 5 a.m. BST (British Summer Time), Wednesday 6 a.m. CET (Central European Time), Wednesday 12 a.m. Midnight EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), Tuesday/Wednesday 9 p.m. PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), TuesdaySo when's Sony's thing today?

Apparently gamers today can't be bothered to read on their own. They want to be spoon-fed the scenes instead of using their eyes and imagination.

10 pm I think then thanks! :)
11pm actually
Hey, I know this thread isn't really about Nintendo anymore, but has everyone seen these pictures?
http://game.watch.impress.co.jp/img/gmw/docs/477/173/html/n10.jpg.html (click the arrow at the top to go through them)
Looks like it doesn't add 3 shoulder buttons, just two. The 3DS' original R button is extended out onto the peripheral, and then there are the two triggers that are all-new.
I'm guessing the thing with the screw is the battery compartment.
What happened at the conference? Unfotunately, I missed it :otonitorsimgs & ZOE collection also coming to vita japan launch date revealed (think it was 17th december) Final fantasy X HD coming to ps3/vita actually... read this.. it explains EVERYTHING http://scei.co.jp/corporate/release/pdf/110914a_e.pdf
3DS launch pretty much confirmed the world doesn't really want hand held gaming consoles as much as they used to. sure both will still sell, but neither will do anything like the DS (which is still heavily supported) . there are tons of games on mobile phones now many of which also double as movie players, mp3 players, browsers and social networking devices. the potential market for handheld consoles is a lot smaller now in my book. sts106matThe only phone that comes close to having decent controls is the Experia play, other than that cell phone games are pick for 15 minutes and drop games, they never will have the controls portables have which is a mayor draw back.

Touch controls work great for puzzle, turn-based titles(RPG'S, tower defense etc.) and racing games.
[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"] Touch controls work great for puzzle, turn-based titles(RPG'S, tower defense etc.) and racing games. tormentosYeah but the industry is make of so much more games than those, shooters are a big no no on cell phones,i have try a few and god they are horrible, the simulated analogues in the screen don't work even close to how well analogues work on portables, worst 2 thumbs instead of a finger now block part of your screen. I have a Galaxy S,but i have play on the iphone 4,droid,and several of my friend HTC phones, and controls are not good on cell phones, other than for angry birds and some other games, the controls are not good. Shooters(fps and tps) are a big no no on any handheld platform thus far. Shoot em ups, platformers that require precession i agree with though.
