So that includes every Street Fighter 5, Super, Ultra, Turbo, Arcade, etc, etc? I figured only Street Fighter 5 was exclusive and the rest of the games in the SF5 series would be open for all platforms.

The only reason i can see behind this decision is that Capcom wanted to bring the whole sf community together via cross platform multiplayer instead of having them spread out across diff platforms. And ms being ms, they probably said no.

I got so tired of hearing that excuse. Even seeing some going so far as to count the Turbo Edition in list wars for the XBone. Thank goodness Capcom got real with it.

We all know this is bullshit to keep Sony happy so they don't lose sales on the initial version of Street Fighter V and are able to sell more consoles as a result. If people find out they can get the Super or Ultra versions on the Xbox One before the retail vanilla game even releases then its exclusivity with Sony loses a lot of steam.

I still have absolutely no doubt the other iterations of SFV will be on the Xbox One and release at the same time as they would on the PlayStation 4, this is just marketing spin to appease Sony, nothing more and nothing less.

This exclusivity deal is perplexing. First off countless multiplats get marketing support from either Sony or MS over the years, either will pay for the advertising of multiplatform games to get their logo plastered at the end of the TV spot or internet advertisement, the game remains multiplat but the one that foots the bill gets the advantage of their system getting mentioned in tandem with the game ad. So, they're saying this deal extends to more than just marketing support? How so, Sony's publishing it? How's that beneficial to Capcom to give up a key franchise to another? They obviously didn't need funding. But stepping back, was it a contractual obligation that made them publish SFIV only on PS4 and not Xbox One when it came to the next gen systems? Or develop Deep Down for PS4 and not Xbox One? Or develop Dragon Dogma online for PS4/PS3 and not any of the Xbox? No, obviously not. I'd say if anything this is obviously Capcom playing favorites. They've done this the last few gens. Last gen Capcom pulled this with the Wii. Before that the GameCube. Looks like this time they're saddling with a winner they've always wanted. But just be truthful, they're playing favorites. This has absolutely nothing to do with contracts or funding being necessary to make their games.

How the tables have turned. Street Fighter V is looking amazing. I can't wait to learn how all the characters play with their V-skills and having to manage two meters separately.

How is it hypocrisy? It's two completely different companies, different deals, Microsoft is co-developing, funding, marketing and publishing Rise of the Tomb Raider. You're trying to draw parallels between two completely different situations because they appear similar when they're anything but, also Capcom has a history of telling stories that end up being untrue.

Though considering Dead Rising 3 isn't on PS4 yet, it's not completely out of the question. Regardless I'll buy it on my PC since my arcade stick works on my PC.

You are basically calling Sony and Capcom liars while interpreting what little has been said by Spencer and SE/CD in a way that lead to the conclusion that you want when in reality it is very ambiguous and deceptive.

I'm still holding out on later editions to arrive on the Uno, because Capcom is flakey when it comes to exclusive matters.

More or less. I still think that it's a system with potential, but I've played nothing on it thus far to make me feel that it was, in any way, a justified purchase. I hope that will change down the road, but at this point I'd rather have a PS4. Of course I can still get the quad, but I physically have no room for a third system at the moment =P
