That's implying that every single Xbox One owner there is uses it, if it's 50% then it goes to 40 hours, 25% 80 hours, 12.5% 160 hours, 6.25% 320 hours etc.

@Desmonic: yeah but shits been getting out of control on Gaf and the it's confirmed $399 cause the Xbox ad and putting some message in google search and the under $400 robot picture was there. So basically the Xbox E3 thread filled with hype of $399 confirmed.

GK's tweet was done intentially either to DC and lessen the blow or to really gauge the perception. Less than 2 hour to go so I can't wait either way

It's the same fake ass people that bandwagoned behind Shenmue III when it was announced, I'd wager a good 95% of the people who talked that up have not only never played that game, but never even owned a Dreamcast yet they all act like they care.

I believe every faction has people like this, but yeah the PS fanboys are notorious for shit like that.

$399 would be a boom mic drop moment, but the actual world and the cost of things isn't ham-stringed to implausible expectations or what people want, it's tied to R&D, manufacturing costs, advertising costs etc.

Just gonna comment on what Geoff Keighley tweeted on the price before the thread got locked.

I have a hard time believing that Scorpio would be $400. I've always thought it would be around $500, but Geoff has always been a professional and never seem like the guy that would leak or spoil info like this, especially a couple of hours away from MS conference. I have a feeling that this a swerve.

I'm perfectly okay with the $499 price. I would like to see it bundled with an improved controller though or an updated Elite controller would be cool; given the "premium" console...

The other thing I was mentioning to Desmonic as well was when has a console price ever actually gotten out before it's revealed? I can't recall a single instance, it appears as if something is going on behind the scenes not to mention how many people are actually privy to this systems price? Maybe 4-6 people on Earth?

I'll say this Xbox is about the fans. The difference between how the Xbox execs interact and engage with Xbox fans is Night and day. I dunno if it's because it's a US based company but having been to a Sony event and an Xbox one it's no contest.
