I think they will announce

1) 3DS eShop 3D Classics of Red and Blue

2) Pkmn Gen VI for 3DS. Polygonal graphics, full analog movement (as opposed to tile based) BUT retains the overview perspective (although dynamic and tilted as in B/W).

Nintendo, I woke up at 8.30am on a Monday morning, dealing with an awful hangover, just for this announcement. You better make it worth it.

I forgot to add to my predictions.

We'll see Iwata (or someone else) staring at a different kind of fruit, for the fourth time in a "Direct" episode since E3 2012.

This is hinting at some kind of Yoshi game for Wii U, revealed at E3.

(I'm basically posting these as proof later lol, btw there was a "predict 3ds/vita sales in 2012 thread made many months ago, I can't seem to find it, would be fun to compare, I think I said 30m 3DS and 5m Vita, it's gonna be close if we go by PR shipment numbers in the upcoming quarter report)

Nintendo probably wasn't pissed, the DS already had a huge fanbase and the 3DS can play DS games so it really doesn't hurt anything for Nintendo. The main thing that sucks about them being DS games is that the resolution of DS games looks terrible on the 3DS.

GameFreak has presumably 2 teams:

Mainline team: B/W 2010 -> Gen VI 2013

Remake/3rd version team: B/W 2 2012 -> ??

A proper 3D game wouldn't have been ready and going with a sprite based sequel to B/W on 3DS makes no sense. The thing about B/W 2 is that they remix / reuse existing assets and added no new pokemon. It's a pure cash in not related to the proper mainline entries. It's as if you say "wtf, why isn't Emerald on DS?" Similar scenario.

This is what I like about Nintendo, all year is like E3... We get to hear from Reggie, Iwata, Bill, Miyamoto, etc every 2 weeks- month, what other company gives that service? The only time we hear from Tretton and Hirari?
