Actually I'm pretty sure the Dark Souls 2, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Star Wars, and Dragon Age CGI trailers were done by the same people. Blur Studio.

The fact of the matter is that the Wii came out in the same 2 year time period as the 360 and PS3, and it came (from nintendo) after the N64 and Gamecube. That makes it what it is. Power doesn't matter in the least. Games don't matter. Your opinion doesn't matter. The console generations are not defined by power or resolution, and never have been. They are defined by the time periods during which the consoles were first made available to the public. Nothing more. So yes, if the SNES came out this year, it would be a current gen console. A real sh!tty one, but a current gen console nonetheless.

Arguing otherwise is, as I said, the very definition of "grasping at straws". Which is what you are doing, because for some reason you really feel like it effects you personally that the Wii outsold your particular console of choice, so you're doing whatever you can to make it "not count" in your mind.
