How about someone jsut wants the system for like one or 2 games. 250 is steep just for that. Again going on the expensive side and the fact the memory cards are overpriced doesint help. Pretty sure you can get a blu ray player for much cheaper then what it start off at first. Price can be a very strong barrier. There are more then 1 or 2 games I want for my vita therefore I bought it.

When it fails to sell more than the PSP, it is almost time to hang it up. It was a complete waste of technology that could have been an excellent platform given proper marketing and a solid list of exclusive games.Zeviander

To be fair, the 3DS is still not even close to the PSP's total lifetime sales. The PSP sold 70 million at last count, and it might be more since the system is for sale.

Even if the Vita was doing better, both it and the 3DS still have awhile to go before they even get close to the PSP's total sales.

Why do you want the Vita to fail? You do realize that people will lose their jobs if that thing flops, right?

I want the Vita to do well. I want to see some real competition in the handheld market. I own a 3DS and I'm not totally happy with Nintendo when it comes to the 3DS. Namely, I'm very, very unhappy with the eshop.

And this is thing, competition is better for both parties. Nintendo would be forced to bring their A-game or run the risk of Sony taking the Crown and arguably, Sony will do everything they can to beat Nintendo.

One of Nintendo's best periods came when they faced serious competition and were in a close battle for leadership. That time was during the 16-bit era when Sega was a serious competitor and the two pulled out all the stops to win the market.

That's the Nintendo that I want to see with the 3DS. Somehow, Nintendo has kinda been coasting along with the 3DS even since they dropped the price and started getting back the momuntum.

I'm really disappointed in the Vita so far. I was really hoping for a closer race. The PSP did very well, so there was that chance.

I tried to sell it in my local papers and back to GameStop. GameStop would only give me $60 for it. I got $100 for my original 3DS lol Ive had my Vita in the local paper for over a month now. WiFi model, 32gig card, Uncharted and Hot Shots Golf and no one wants it. When I found out a few days ago that PS+ is coming to the Vita I decided to stop trying to sell it. Since some of the games are now free im going to be keeping it. Hopefully something happens in the future.
