I like a lot of there games and that’s all I’m going to say in this low effort thread
If i mention all the reasons i dislike their games (which i have already done a bit too many times in most ubi related threads), it will be peceived as a troll thread, which isn't the point.
They are a wild card, I wish I knew how to quit them. It's complicated. They are ahead of the rest on the GaaS end though I will give them credit there.
I've enjoyed most Assassins Creed games. I loved the Prince of Persia games on PS2. I also had a blast with For Honor and still play it from time to time. I'd say I enjoy their games but there are also some that just don't meet the mark.
Solidly made if bland systems-based games. Terrible writing, as if written either by robots that had to have human emotions coded into their algorithms, or a bunch of 14-year-olds.
From my recollection, their best titles have been linear, or at most, mini-sandbox. Rayman, the first 3 Rainbow 6 games, the first couple of Ghost Recon titles, POP and Splinter Cell.
Their open-world games have never been "great" at best "good", namely Far Cry, with most "shite" painted up with period production aesthetics to distract the easily impressed from what actually matters.
A lot of it put down to their predatory business practice where they are deliberately padding games with busywork not out of giving the player value but to chinese burn purchasing.
They also assume you are stupid and spread the net as wide as possible. Which works, unfortunately.
Overall, something.
I don't really care about their treatment. They don't give a shit about the consumer, more than happy to screw them over, get kiddos into gambling, so why should I care?
Oh, but it's the higher ups doing it. Nope, janitor on the Death Star is still working for the Empire.
Maybe next time get a job with a company that isn't widely regarded as a ****. Dumbasses!
pretty sure Fractured But Whole and Valiant Hearts are the only Ubi games I played last gen. Their open world games nose dived after Far Cry 3, and never the greatest to begin with.
@hardwenzen: Are you going full ghosts now and only make threads on games you hate? :P
Anyway, I like 'em. But God, I wish they would make something different than Assassin's Creed and Far Cry sequels all the time.
Also they are a bit like Nintendo, who forgot that Fzero and Star Fox are franchises that exist, and they seem to have forgotten about Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell.
i used to be a big fan back pre 2006, but slowly fell out of love with them. over time their flagship titles either lost their identity or individuality (or both) and started to converge and share features with newer titles, or just went off the rails.
they churn a lot of these games out too so it's easy to grow apathetic when new titles are announced.
now when i think of ubi i think open worlds, towers to unlock maps and grinding quantity over quality content. i don't know if that's still a fair reputation for them, i should probably try valhalla or fenyx rising, but i've been bitten so many times giving them that "maybe this one will be different" benefit of the doubt. i do fancy anno 2070 just haven't got round to it yet
@R4gn4r0k: Yeah we do need a linear Splinter Cell game, its best they keep the series that way, last thing we need is another open world game from them.
Wouldn't mind them resurrecting Speed Devils for something different, no need for more Crew, the second game went backwards for me.
They're okay. Some of their games I enjoyed, mainly not their main ones like recent ACs. Fenyx Rising, I've heard good things from and I'm keen on trying it. I just hope their Star Wars game is actually good stuff.

The crew is such a missed opportunity.
When they showed off the sequel in the announcement trailer I was so excited. Getting to fly, race with speedboats and race in cars... It was supposed to be special.
Later I tried the game for myself and it just all felt very bland. Like they didn't even try to make any aspect of the game fun.
@R4gn4r0k: For me the flying felt slow, like really slow, it reminds me of when i drive down the main street of my town and its only 40kph, really slow.
And you really cant do anything in the game with them, would have been nice if there were some jets to fly around in the city with.
And for me putting the game in America again sorta made it feel boring because it was the same location as the first game, thats where FH shines because its a new world every time.
But yeah would like Ubi to bring back Speed Devils, or even Street Racer, now that would be a blast from the past 😁

As i see it, they're only "reviving" their old franchises that can be made into an open world game with light rpg mechanics to suck u dry on the cash shop. They can't come up with an idea of an open world SC game, so they ain't reviving it.
@ProtossRushX: I don't have gamepass and i like Ubisoft, what now? get a brain and get back to me.
But i see you hate Ubi because they might be joining gamepass, you get the sorest arse of anyone on here besides maybe your bud tormeltdownos, and thats hard to do with fake outrage 🤣🤣🤣
They’re not a real huge favourite of mine but I like some of their games. Immortals: Fenyx Rising looks like a really enjoyable game that I want to get in the near future. I also enjoy the Assassin’s Creed and FarCry games. Really looking forward to getting Valhalla sometime and am pretty hyped for FarCry 6. I’m most definitely interested in seeing how their Star Wars game turns out.
I like to evaluate each game individually, but it is hard not to notice the same formula used across their games. They seem to be mixing it up a little more these days though. Overall, I do like a lot of their games, but they are nowhere near as good as what they were during the 6th console generation (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube). They created a lot of new IPs and showed creativity and innovation back then. They have become an assembly line for uninspired formulaic games since then.
@hardwenzen: What company would that be as i've never heard of a dev called that, are they some indie dev or something?
They must be 💩 if you like them 🤣🤣🤣
Here's a video about the lord, the creator. A video that you will quote me by saying that you refuse to watch it, but we all know that you will watch the whole thing 😎
@hardwenzen: You're supossed to block me if i said something shitty about your fave company, damn i thought the truth would be nasty enough.
At least you got one thing right as im not clicking on your link to see something that will waste my time, even though im at work right now and am wasting time 🤣🤣🤣

You quote me almost exactly 15minutes later, the length of the video. You did watch almost the whole thing. Goood. Goooooood.
I wonder whether gamers separate Ubisoft as a company from its games, as one may not like the company, but like its games. Just like one can like Richard Wagner's music, but condemn his anti-Semitic views.
I hated AC Origins. Won't be playing any of the newer entries in the series.
Used to be a big fan of the series during the PS3 era, I replayed the older ones and think they're pretty bad now.
Far Cry can be fun, hasn't really done anything too interesting since Blood Dragon. Hoping for one that has Dinosaurs in it at some point.
I actually kinda liked the Crew. The 2 recent Rayman games were good. Wouldn't mind seeing a remake of 2. Watch Dogs - is ok. Nothing special. Wildlands was fun in co-op, but again nothing special.
Overall - hate the company, don't really feel too strongly about their games.
