@gotgames: Can it be that you're a Sony fanboy yourself? Every game gets trashed around here for a number of silly dumb reasons. In fact Sony fanboys around here are by far worse than any other faction regarding that.

Maybe Heavy Rain, and the likes, got criticised and made fun because of how preponderant the QTEs are but I think it's easy to admit that there's a huge difference between the two games.

The game doesn't explicitly teach you parry counter until the Spectra chamber if you replay. But it's one of the skills you can buy (for each assist character). Basically as easy as parry on one beat and hit your assist button on the next, it's pretty sick.

Nah, you're just trying hard to hate on a game that's refreshing and well-received.

If you really have to nitpick, QTE's are found in most games if you look hard enough. The difference and the complaints arise when games are overly reliant on them to the point of detracting from the gameplay. Pair that up with overreliance of cutscenes and we have a recipe for disaster.

@jaydan: no complaints here game looks great, love the art style of the game, I am not saying anything bad about the game, i can’t say anything bad about the game have not played it yet, all i said was all of the sudden Xbox fanboys love qte games, the game has qte,there’s nothing bad about qte i played and enjoyed bunch of qte games over the years, now if you can point to me in any of my comments where am i trying really hard to trash the game, i watched DF video and 2:40 into the video there are buttons prompts which is qte or if it makes you sleep better at night rhythmic game

I kinda need to begin hatin' on this game as well. Can't let my Sony Professionals do the job for me.

@gotgames: This is not a QTE game though, that is the flaw to your own argument. A QTE game is something like a Heavy Rain that fundamentally relies on this design. Just because there's small segments of this yet the vast majority of the gameplay is a rhythmic action, makes it not what you're trying to say. Most games have QTE's if you look hard enough to distinguish them. Simply pressing a button to open a door to enter a new room animation is a QTE, for example.

You're getting very nitpicky over something that hardly makes up the game's identity and using it to define the game as a whole. Not a very good argument there.
