Maybe this is thank you to Sony for helping them with the first Souls game? Where would From be without that? Plus I have seen mentioned numerous times that Shu regretted his handling of Demon Souls so it would make sense for him to try to correct that mistake.

look at how many people are saying Sony might not be working with FROM to make this game, or it might not be exclusive or they hope it ends up multiplat LMAO.

Since before anything was shown it was already announced that Sony japan and Hidetaka Miyazaki were working on a new souls type game, the damage control coming from known PS4 bashers now is hilarious.

If you ever wanted a game like this for this generation you should bought a PS4 to be sure of it. If you are one of the guys damage controlling and hoping and praying this goes multiplat or suggesting that Sony isn't involved in the creation of this title, it just shows how dumb you were in your discussion for platforms this gen because it is clear you bet on the wrong system.

It looks so creepy and beautiful. Some guns this time? They could make for a nice change. Whatever it's called, I'm looking forward to it. These kinds of games from From Software are amazing.

This is actually the first time I can remember a topic about PlayStation exclusive without a single troll comment. Most of them are probably praying it is multi-platform.

I'd say they have incentive and confidence to continue the Demon's IP knowing all their projects sell better on the PS platforms and not to mention, both Sony and FS saw how many people wanted this to be a thing. Being exclusive to the leading console also gives it the benefit of a wider exposure and word of mouth.

So, from purely a profit standpoint, it's a win-win for From Software studios. How can they loose on this one?

They know It's going to move a respectable amount of copies if they team up with "momentum" Sony right now. And if this takes off for them, they got an exclusive and multiplat IP that they can depend on to remain sustained and productive.

Hidetaka Miyazaki on stepping away from Dark Souls II and the future of the series

Sony studios head wants to see more Demon's Souls

"Yoshida said Sony "dropped the ball" when it passed on publishing Demon's Souls in North America and Europe. Atlus and Namco Bandai picked up the slack, with the latter publishing From Software's spiritual successor, Dark Souls..

"We have been great partners with From Software from the very beginning of PlayStation," Yoshida said....We have a long history of working as platform holder, developer and publisher in the case of Demon's Souls. We love them."

I asked Yoshida if Demon's Souls is a franchise that could join series like Killzone, Gran Turismo and Uncharted as a multi-PlayStation platform — and if Sony would consider developing a sequel without From Software as the primary developer.

"That's a great question, but because of the attention that will get, I choose not to answer," Yoshida said. "But personally, I love Demon's Souls. I spent hours and hours and hours [playing it]."

"I love the team, I love the game and yeah, I'd really like to see more. But that's all that I will say."

It will be worth the wait. Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Considering the popularity of the Demon’s Souls franchise, it’s very likely that the “fire” will turn into a full fledged explosion whenever the project will be revealed. Can we expect something at E3? We can only wait and see.

Also, just to note... if Project Dark was Dark Souls, Project Beast is probably Beast Souls. Although it honestly looks a little like ShadowTower with that shotgun. But please, my one request: if it is Beast Souls, please don't call it "Beast's Souls" like "Demon's Souls". Demon's Souls is wayy too hard to say. Everyone calls it Demon Souls.

So it's Japan Studios and Miyazaki working on the game...
