Freaking meta critic scores for Xbox exclusives are always a mini game in itself. Really don't get it, and really way past the point of caring any more. They are just way too skewed.

I long ago found youtubers and reviewers I trust that actually game on all platforms and like the kind of games that i do, that don't do clickbait crap. I hope the rest of you do too, so you don't get fooled by a Kojima game score or some boring walking simulator.

SkillUp seemed to like the campaign, and it sounds like most agree the MP is still solid.

I’ll likely pick it up. My only concern is I saw a lot of cheating on the PC version of Gears 4.

@sealionact: I'll still check it out. I've bought every Gears of War Day one eith the exception of judgement and this. I'm sorry but playing the whole game as Kat just doesn't appeal to me. But ill give it a chance eventually.

Seems like most of the critics are saying it's an improvement over Gears 4.

Not the greatest score here on GS, but not total flop city on Metacritic (but kinda floppy when you consider that this is supposed to be Microsoft's other big franchise). Would the Lemmings be so kind to Cows if Uncharted 4 or God of War 4 got 7/10 here and hovered around 84-86 on Metacritic?

Sony games are held to a higher standard because they meet a higher standard. We're almost used to MS games being in the 70s and 80s lol.

I think its funny that when people do PS4 game watches, they post the metacritic, but when its Xbox, they make sure to opt for lowest score as if Gears isn't nearly a 90, and scoring what Spider-Man did.

Anyone who thinks Xbox gamers are waiting for games, stop pretending like Game Pass hasn't already given us a ton of shit, and quit acting like PS4 was loaded from 2014-2016 back when Xbox had way better games.

rpg progression, open world, side quests... sounds like they've tried to go a bit god of war with it. thought the trailers were crap and reading the review i genuinely don't see anything to get excited about

Called an 8, and I was wrong. Boo! I'll be giving it a try on my GP. Hopefully the GP PC version is complete garbage, because you can't access any files for those games.

The hype thread also consisted of multiple score options to choose from and the one with the most votes would be the hype and then the score would judge it to be a flop.or not.

Hell, the 60s before this game came around. But, Xbox is pretty much a three ring circus at this point. Halo, Gears and Forza. These are the only AAA franchises for Xbox expected to perform over an 80 at this stage.

Well, in the real world it's an 8.6 average based on reviews. Not that review scores ever influenced my gaming choices....

An 18 year old PlayStation fan reporting on a 1 month old tech test that only showed the Boot camp and MP modes isn't really the most reliable way of reporting how the SP campaign behaves. I'm sure you're relieved to see that framerates are prioritised, even if the 4k resolution is achieved dynamically.

"Across all modes" LOL! Rarely hitting 4K, is not native 4K. Microsoft didn't even claim that it would be native 4K on the X. You guys drink the Kool-Aid over the X WAY too hard.
