I don't really care. Sony was able to clown MS with less power in the PS4 Pro compared to the X. What matters is the games and talent Sony has.

If PS5 turns out to be more powerful it would be hilarious, the lemming meltdown in this place would be insane. It's funny how a few days ago lems were 100% sure the Scarlett would destroy the PS5's specs and here we are today and they are sweating bullets as rumors say otherwise.

And if it turns out PS5 is more expensive it’ll bite them in the ass.

With the Xbox library on PC, I can’t say that I care too much. I can build a rig that laps both consoles put together x4. The PS5 needs to bring the heat to make those exclusives shine. And Nintendo just needs to keep doing what they’re doing. The arms race is a foolish one. Keep the price down and keep making those sweet Nintendo exclusives.

These boxes are going to be about equal anyway. Exclusives games etc are going to make the difference.

Well in 2012 many here didn't want to believe the rumors about the PS4 and xbox one either,even in 2013 after sony unveiled the machine and MS remained quiet they would believe it,and after the true came out oh brother it was years of magic clouds,magic API that would double performance on xbox one..

But will Don't first party games be great? I have been PlayStation faithful since ps one and it feels like their first party line up is on the decline. And of late aside from a few third party exclusives I almost never buy games for my ps4

I don't know about that. I think cows are to hung on exclusives when 90%+ of a library is made up of multiplats but with that being said, what else can lems do. I'll admit MS needs to focus on more 1st party games period. I don't care if they're shared with PC since I game on both.

And I'll admitt, Xbox needs more 1st party games, but that is starting to change. MS bought a lot of studios last year, and even announced the purchase of double fine at their conference yesterday. Ninja Theory also confirmed at the conference that they are working on several projects, which means more 1st party Xbox games. Plus, Gears 5, Bleeding Edge, and Halo infinite all look promising.

Are the specs truly finalized yet? I think sony doubled the ram for ps4 pretty late last time new consoles were coming.

Who cares? I'd still buy one over an Xbox if it weren't. Once the games went to PC, it no longer became a necessary piece of hardware.

I'm putting money on the specs being closer than SW would like. It would be funny, as it'd destroy a lot of arguments if both companies utilize that power properly.

Cared about power until you either didn't have the most powerful console or that power didn't translate into better looking or performing games ala PS3. Another I like about PC is that one would be able to play low settings, low resolution if I wanted to stay cheap with PC parts and still get the meat of xbox games unless there would be sudden strict hardware limits like you can't play on a vega/pascal, etc. and requires navi/turing even if vega/pascal aren't that old.

While rumors make things highly likely, we never actually know until one party confirms it. People thought the Xbox Scarlett would be more powerful than the PS5, others thought the PS5 would be more powerful than the Scarlett, both of which were obviously wrong.

Also, I find it funny that MS unveils that the Xbox Scarlett will likely be equal to the PS5 in terms of power, and almost immediately after, Sony fans start posting "rumors" about the PS5 being more powerful than the Xbox Scarlett. To be fair though, something similar happened once the PS5's power was announced, as said above. But it's funny how quickly it happened this time around.

The obvious proof is from Phil Spencer himself. He said at the "reveal" that it was the most powerful console "they've" ever made. Remember when the X was revealed and they said it was the worlds most powerful console? They would have said that again if it was true. And don't reply it's because they don't know ps5s specs, because the Pros specs were unknown at the time(besides rumors).
