• Two modes: Native 4K/30 and 1080p/60
• Native 4K mode does not scale down in resolution even under stress points.
• 4K mode runs at 30 fps with no dips
• 1080p mode runs at a 60fps target can drop to 40's in high demanding areas
• Texture quality is at the highest level

• Native 4K on both PS4 Pro and Xbox One X
• X appears to be identical to PS4 Pro and PC with very small boost in draw distance
• PC only edges the consoles out in AA

Maybe this is why Lems have been playing the whole, “why are people in my thread being so negative?” defense. Lems have been losing the war across the board for so long, they forgot how to fight it. What you all want is the Xbox board, not System Wars.

After viewing many of the comparison videos between the original Xbox One and the Xbox One X, I'm thinking about selling my Project Scorpio edition when it arrives on Tuesday.

I have the Xbox One S and have been very happy with it. I have always been an Xbox and Microsoft guy and would never even consider getting any of the Sony's systems. I just have too much invested in the Xbox and Microsoft ecosystem. I've been an Xbox guy since the original.

With that being said, I simply do not see a big enough difference between the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X to justify spending 500 bucks. While I see graphical enhancements/improvements between the two, they are very minimal at best.... in most cases. If that changes in the next year or two ,I might consider getting the X.

And there's nothing wrong with that, This is why MS is great, they are giving gamers the choice + sharing the XB1 library throughout the entire ecosystem.

I for one am pumped for future releases, RDR2 will be awesome on the XONE

@FLOPPAGE_50: I totally agree...I love Microsoft and I love the Xbox. When compelling games that take advantage of the X power such as RDR 2 come out, I'll purchase the X. I just don't see anything that is compelling right now on the X that I can't get on the S with a FEW less graphical bells and whistles. I'm guessing maybe a year or so will be the time to buy. You'd think that Microsoft would have pushed 343 HARD to really improve Halo 5 graphically to use as a showpiece for the X. But it looks like 343 was lazy as hell like most other developers. Right now there just really isn't anything outside of Forza and maybe a few others.

Indeed. Halo 5's 4K upgrade looks cleaner then the standard Xbox One version.

@davillain-: it does look cleaner, but that's it. We are sending 500 bucks on a console upgrade that makes games look "cleaner"?

That's totally up to the buyer. I have no desire for such an upgrade console. I have a High-End PC that blows X1X away and 4K sure as hell doesn't interest me, give me better framerates. Xbox One itself is a redundant console I have ever seen this gen has to offer.

Cleaner or not, this is a premium product and this console is clearly for those who don't wanna get into PC game that's for sure. Do I think it's worth $500 for an upgrade console? It's debatable but it is a nice upgraded console I ever seen.

Keep in mind that this is not at 60 FPS however, which is still something the PC versions will be superior with.

but compared to a 500 dollar console vs a beast PC, that is awesome.

While discussing Gears of War 4, reviewer Jimmy Thang said, "In terms of pure image fidelity, it surprisingly looked better than our high-end gaming PC equipped with a GTX 1080 running the game maxed out, as it offered extra dynamic shadows that don't seem to be available on the PC.

This is before any patches. It could get a bump in resolution and improved textures whenever it lands.

• This patch has DF confused
• Dynamic scaler runs the game between 1296p to 2376p depending on the load
• Same stress points on PS4 Pro maintain a 1440p resolution vs 1296p on X
• Texture filtering seems to be worse on X than Pro
• Geometry is maxed, but AO is still missing and Shadow Quality is the same as Pro
• Xbox One X improves cutscenes where the drops are down to thew high 50's vs Pro's mid 40's
• In gameplay though, the PS4 maintains 60 better than the X where drops can go down to the mid 50's while maintaining a lower resolution than Pro
