@mesome713: How is Returnal a Metriod clone exactly? I've seen this a few times and can't figure out the stupidity that would lead someone to this conclusion? Please Casey, explain this to us all.

@vfighter: I have no clue. I’ve never even seen a screenshot of Returnal. They just keep calling it a better Metroid than Metroid. So I make fun of them.

@davillain-: This is game's core design is also linear. If the player is stuck because they have not shot a random destroyable wall, that is a clear sign of linear design. There is only one path for progression. While the player jumps between sections of the world and can back track sometimes, the path is typical locked to linear progression.

@vfighter: ask hardwenzen who keeps saying Returnal is a Metroid game but done better .. I don't understand it either cause the two games are very different from each other 🤷
