The lesson should be never trust any review, and especially the ones that says the game is not fun, boring, frustrating etc and score it a 100/100 anyway. To many Kojima fanboys doing reviews.
I hope you enjoy it, but I fail to see how anyone can enjoy a game full of fetch quests, and this is coming from someone who plays a lot of open world games and just finished the fetch quest riddled AC Odyssey, and was bored out of my fucking brain by the end.
@i_p_daily: In case you didn't know, I love open-world games. I know how to not get trap into fetch-quest when it's not done right but the Witcher 3 was done very well.
Icrydaily is really casual gamer who loves Forza because is about the only thing he can defend on Xbox and hold to as been better than other racers on PS. 😂

IGN was one of the few major gaming site who kept it real and being honest at the same time. That review is legit I seen so far.
The way this is going, it's clearly Death Stranding is a slow burned game. Either way, I still intend to play it day one and then, I'll return to this thread and give my opinion.

Wow. The GS review doesn't really read like a 9/10, but there it is.
It does sound interesting, but also incredibly boring. Like you could take everything good about it and compress it down to a handful of hours, but the whole experience will take about 10 time longer than that.
I think the IGN review seems a little bit more honest to me.
Anyway... I am a fan of unique online experiences and the BT encounters sound cool. Who knows? I might pick it up next year on PC.

I read the gamespot review and man this game looks like a chore. Mostly seems like a delivery simulator. Going to have to pass for now and wait to see what users say. Review doesn’t seem like a 9.

@TheEroica: let’s be real, I figured gamespot would wet themselves for this. Like I said mgs5 was given a 10. Gameplay mechanics are the best in the series but the overall game just wasn’t that great. This site obviously slurps Kojima.
But I wasn’t expecting a 84/100 meta score. Still a great score imo but I don’t recall any Kojima game coming in that low
