@charizard1605: Hmm never played Colors, but yeah the reception was good. I never got extensive time with 2d old school sonic, I guess Sonic Mania will give me that chance.

I played them for the first time last year. They are so bad lol. I think 2 is okay, and that's it. Didn't get to play 3 sadly.

I'll be honest, all the so called "good" or "great" ones of recent years blend into a single game for me. They weren't bad but none of them were memorable.

It's Sega and Sonic they are to wildly inconsistent to get a 10 but I think they can get at least a 7 maybe an 8. I just don't have I hopes for Sonic games.

I've been watching some videos of Sonic Mania. Okay.... there's something about the game which looks really, really good. Presentation looks mint, music is great, and level design looks spot on and the gameplay.... it doesn't look sucky for a Sonic game.

It got a 9 at gamespot.

But being the eternal optimist I think it can still get a 10 here at gamespot.

With the amount of passion poured into the project, it was bound to be a great game. This isn't your typical production, but a pet project built as a love letter for old school fans and new fans alike.

So pissed that the PC version is delayed.

It's got no platinum trophy btw. :( Being the trophy whore that I am this disappoints me but oh well. I will still play the ever living crap out of it. AAA for sure.

Nice scores but too bad this is digital only since there are some people that only count games on disc sold at retail as being more important.

For those keeping score, the game runs at 1620p on the PS4 Pro, then checkerboarded up to 4K. So while the XOX is playing Xbox One games at 4K native, the PS4 Pro is playing Genesis/Saturn games at 1620p.

I really hope the Switch version runs well.

Agreed. Sonia Mania is shaping up to be a fine digital only game. I may get it but not sure on where though. I'm leaning over Xbox or PlayStation since I could game share it or get it for the Switch so I could play it while on the toilet, we'll see. Speaking about Switch digital games, did you ever figure out what are those Switch only NeoGeo digital games you said existed? I actually want to buy a few of them. Let me know.

Well clearly Sonic was good 25 years ago. It's just all the stuff since then that has been mostly dog shit.

So bummed this is delayed for the PC. Day one buy for me. CANNOT wait. Playing thru Sonic CD and Sonic Generations to get prepped for it.

If sonic Mania is anything like the 2D retro levels of Sonic Generations, it will be fantastic. It's a shame they had to sour the experience with those 3D levels.

I wonder if a good 3D sonic game will ever be created or if that transition is never meant to be.

Nice. I remember you did say there are 30+ Switch only digital only games right now, so I'm curious if you were counting these NeoGeo games to take the bulk of your 30+ estimate? These NeoGeo games are actually also found on the other consoles. I'm pretty sure a couple of them will be found only on one over the other for right now but eventually be released for all. So I'm curious if these are the same NeoGeo games you were adding to the 30+ Switch only digital only games, or you're looking at another list? I browsed myself on my Switch and online and didn't find 30+ Switch only digital only games right now. Let me know.
