No, due to the fact it's a video game lol.

CoD is just a game and not even a good one.
btw.: As far as I remember the first time this sentence was used was with the original DOOM. (DOOM is not a game, its a lifestyle!)

All games are fun to play. Whats your point?
Also when did i mention BF3? I hate CoD and i don't like BF.
BiscuitCruiser
No, all games aren't fun to play. That's like saying all movies are fun to watch.
You said CoD is marketed to young teens. Same could be said about BF3.
We are talking about CoD not BF.
And yes not all films are fun to watch for you, but people out there will like the ones you don't like. You are talking like CoD is the only fun game, which its not.
Nah, I never said that.
There are a lot of other good games, just not as fun as COD.

I've played many games that are funner than CoD :? That would suck to be you if that is the funnest game you have played. For instance, the game in your avatar. How and why is this thread still a thing? Seriously? There's no way in hell a game can be a lifestyle, unless you are clinically insane.
Tell that to people making millions in pro gaming. It can be a lifestyle for sure, if paid. How and why is this thread still a thing? Seriously? There's no way in hell a game can be a lifestyle, unless you are clinically insane.

Ever heard of Gregory Fields and Lim Yo-Hwan?
I mean playing it every day and stuff. I mean MLG is a source of income, but that doesn't make a game a "way of life." It makes it a "means to get money."

I know, right? Me and my friends spend hours taking turns on it just messing around. Give me JC2 over CoD any day of the week, any time.

JC2 is a fun game you enjoy for like 2 hours, its freedom and possibilites. Then, it eventually becomes boring.
COD is a game you put hundreds of hours in.
You could have come up with a much better choice than JC2.

If those guys are proffesional gamers, then i would say that it would be a career. A career is mearly a progression trough a designed goal in a portion of your life, wile a lifestyle is a way of life. I think there's a difference here.

What?
You evidently don't know much about progaming.
Progamers (serious ones, at least) spend all of their days training and elaborating new methods of playing when they are not participating in a tournament.

That's more of a career, wouldn't you say? Not their personal life. (Unless of course, gaming is their personal life.) And no, I really don't know much about progaming. Honestly, I think it's stupid... but then again, I think most sports are as well.
In a way it has. Like it or hate it, everyone seems to make COD their business these days.

Its hardly a lifestyle. Its not even the best selling game this gen. Its a really popular franchise that has a lot of fans fine. Brushing your teeth is a lifestyle choice, cod is a video game.

Well maybe not like that, but both fans and haters like to talk about it to no end.CoD is a way of life alright...a way of wasting your money and lying to yourself by still saying that it's worth playing.

I prefer Stalker SoC over CoD. I haven't played a CoD since MW1 (well I did play Black Ops, which I grew bored off quickly). I can of a lot of other titles that provide more entertainment compared to the CoD titles as well.[QUOTE="AvatarMan96"][QUOTE="SHATT3R3D-GLASS"]I highly doubt it. I hope you are joking?
The Battlefield franchise is one of the most boring games of all time.
I remember me and my friends going and playing BC2 for the first time (at the game's release) (PC).
Only one of us remotely liked the game.
The rest agreed that it was too slow, too boring, no feeling, horrible gameplay and campy.
We switched back to MW2 after (literally) 3-4 games of BC2.

[QUOTE="Dibdibdobdobo"][QUOTE="The-Magus-D"]And you created the rules on how we all must perceive things? Are you the Magistrate of Proper Expressions shouting on top of a tower, "It must be one way, or no way at all!"?
I called it a hobby for crying out loud lol. I added the extra bit to emphasize that it is important in my life. What matters to you is more usually more meaningful than how the world looks at it.
Well their was 2 answers of 1 being "hobby" and the other answer being "way of life". No need to emphasize or anything as you are on a message board talking about games, I can tell already that you have a great interest in games as its a Hobby of yours.Ok I see. I didn't know it was a questionare though that required an exact response to your liking :P. Now I understand. no it was a simple question. either 2 answers and not a excuse to be an a'hole with sarcasm. You tried to make out a simple hobby into being life changing and it having a deeper meaning with than just abit of fun on a piece of plastic. Reason i said one answer or another was easy, because i can tell that you would make out a hobby or attempt to anyway to make something more out of it than it being a gaming being a time sink / hobby.BATTLEFIELD 2. Yeah, because running around quick knifing random people on a static map is better than driving a tank and massacring people on a dynamic map with one of your buds.[QUOTE="SHATT3R3D-GLASS"]

And also, driving a tank and massacring people... That's not as fun as it sounds. The gameplay in the BF series strictly devours the fun you can have with the games.

So because you've never played Battlefield 2 it's okay to speak of a different game just because they are from the same franchise?
Wow...just wow :?
