Another SSB thread but on a different subject: why there is no story mode.

But I am getting worried that this might actually have something to do with the 3DS version. I'm starting to feel like it's going to hold this game back.

I've always thought unlockables are one of the best part of games like this. It's fun unlocking stuff, including characters.

I'm kinda neutral on the lack of a story mode here. The game play of the story was okay, but the story was kinda meh. I just hope they replace it with something.

I never really liked the story mode in Brawl anyway, but I thought the cut scenes were pretty cool, and the reason he gives for not doing them is not making any sense to me.

Hopefully they will have an adventure mode to take its place instead.

The story mode for Brawl was kinda meh, and I greatly prefered the Adventure mode from melee, big reason for that being the fact that you fight in the Nintendo worlds as opposed to some random locations that have nothing to do with Nintendo.

LMFAO! The SE was pretty bad 90% of the time. The only cool parts were the few boss battles. I presonally would reather have more event boss battles without the rest of the bull crap.  

In fact this makes me very happy. Instead of a sub par story mode we they will focus on polishing the rest of the game. I would rather have the important parts be near perfect then a shit ton of medicore garbage.

I loved the Event mode on Melee. I would prefer they expand that.

It's no big loss, they should go back to the adventure mode like in melee. At least then it didn't hand all the unlockable characters on a silver platter

l have to agree here. lts 2013 and people are still afraid of them putting voice acting in a zelda game because ltll somehow ruin it. 

Nintendo has to stop with the excuses. l didn't love the story mode in brawl, but ld like to have seen them try to make it better rather than remove the feature completely.
