[QUOTE="jerkface96"][QUOTE="Scianix-Black"] If it weren't for electronic music, hip hop wouldn't be around. Er, well, technically... electronic music and hip hop are close cousins, but hip hop got its start in the 70's from what is a sub-genre of electronic music today. True story.Scianix-Black
ever seen the sound of music? I have....it was a movie from the 1950s or 1960s... my dad made my watch it, its a famous movie... Yeaaa there was no electronic BS back then.... and the opening scene is two white guys rapping at each other LOL. that is where I believe it came from, not all the way before, those guys prolly thought they were just talking fast. THe word Rap was also a word of the African American Dialect of the 1960s , meaning to converse (duh), which they then turned into a music form in the 60s. No no, actually, that's not what I meant.
Rapping was around since before electronic music, yeah, and I'm sure you know more about that than I, but they didn't start putting the raps over break beats until the late 60's to early 70's, particularily the amen break.
The amen break originated from a record by The Winstons called "Amen Brother" that was released in 1969. An 8 second break in the record was taken and sampled heavily in hip hop because at the time, samplers were super new and all the rage, so this particular beat came to be a part of hip hop's identity for a long time.
The same break ended up forming the foundation for breakbeat and drum & bass music, both sub-genres of electronic dance music and the founding fathers of drumtep, dubstep and big beat.
That's why I said they were cousins and that's really all I know about the history of hip hop. I only know it because it relates to my music, so I'm not trying to say I know more about hip hop than you or anything.
Or MMA.
Or boxing.
hahahahahaha O god that picture.....
But I do know more about Hip Hop Than you.... youre talking about a whole other subject.
your silly techno will never be related to hip hop
I deny all facts and give you my opinions as facts.
