YEA WHO WOULDNT WANT TO LISTEN TO A RAPPER WHO WAS ADDICTED TO CODEINE SYRUP FOR 8 YEARS and hear him slosh and slather words in which he tries to make sound cool. EFF 2PAC AND BIGGIE theyve done nothing for this industry NOTHING.

I know its sarcasm, but I still want to slap you. lol

no way bro, no sarcasm here Fake Gangster thats been Addicted to Codeine Syrup is much much much better than any lyrically talented individuals.

Rapping does have Roots in Africa before it came to the states, so I guess youre 2/3s right. hahaha

I was talking about cavemen. :D

LOL I know.... thats why I said youre 2/3s right. Cause I bet they wore Loin Cloths wayyy back in the day like in the 1800s when they were on their homeland . and they prolly did bang rocks together to form a beat hahaha.

WIZ IS HUGE RIGHT NOW, hes selling out concerts in the thousands. Cole is with Jay Z and he has a lot fo hype going for him. ODD Future is big for what it is. YealWolf isnt big yet, Drake isnt half bad. Then you have AB Soul, Slaughter House, B.O.B. Big K.R.I.T., Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock , Freddie Gibbs, Chiddy Bang, Chip Tha Ripper, Kid Cudi, Pac Div, The Cool Kids, Curren$y, MGK (hes getting big, getting a lot of attention from the older guys), Dom Kennedy, Fashawn, Jay Electronica, SchoolBoyQ, Lil B, Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, Roc Marciano. That list isnt even half of all the new guys dropping tapes and albums. Plus we got all the Vets/Old School guys dropping albums and tape as well. WHo cares if these guys dont go HUGE, theyre still making music, Thus Hip Hop is not dead.

"Alright, first off PSMove is so expensive. So I decided to make my own. I took a usb cord and cut it in half and cut a Wii Motes wires and twisted them together like they do in the movies. Then I plugged that in to my system and put a copy of Twilight Princess in. It didn't fit real well I sort of had to shove it in but now it wont come back out. How do I fix this?"   This dude is trolling, right?

[QUOTE="Scianix-Black"][QUOTE="jerkface96"] some respect for the greats. people need to know where the crap they listen to today came from. jerkface96
If it weren't for electronic music, hip hop wouldn't be around. Er, well, technically... electronic music and hip hop are close cousins, but hip hop got its start in the 70's from what is a sub-genre of electronic music today. True story.

ever seen the sound of music? I have....it was a movie from the 1950s or 1960s... my dad made my watch it, its a famous movie... Yeaaa there was no electronic BS back then.... and the opening scene is two white guys rapping at each other LOL. that is where I believe it came from, not all the way before, those guys prolly thought they were just talking fast. THe word Rap was also a word of the African American Dialect of the 1960s , meaning to converse (duh), which they then turned into a music form in the 60s.

No no, actually, that's not what I meant.

Rapping was around since before electronic music, yeah, and I'm sure you know more about that than I, but they didn't start putting the raps over break beats until the late 60's to early 70's, particularily the amen break.

The amen break originated from a record by The Winstons called "Amen Brother" that was released in 1969. An 8 second break in the record was taken and sampled heavily in hip hop because at the time, samplers were super new and all the rage, so this particular beat came to be a part of hip hop's identity for a long time.

The same break ended up forming the foundation for breakbeat and drum & bass music, both sub-genres of electronic dance music and the founding fathers of drumtep, dubstep and big beat.

That's why I said they were cousins and that's really all I know about the history of hip hop. I only know it because it relates to my music, so I'm not trying to say I know more about hip hop than you or anything.

Or MMA.

Or boxing.

Well, in Adzi's defense, he could just be listening to the beat more than the rapper himself. I kinda do that, too, though... I think it's because 90% of my music doesn't have words in it.

@swj/MDS: Yeah that's pretty messed up that someone is worried about a game being cancelled when there are thousands of lives being affected. Video games should be least of their concerns in Japan right now. @HURD: I hear you man. if it wasn't for the community in the LBL I would have left this site a long time ago. Peace out brotha. See you on XBL/PSN. Definitely gotta play some KZ3 soon. @Ultra: Yelawolf is GARBAGE. Get off his d***. @Method: The Situation is actually gonna be going to one of the casinos I go to in Philly in a few weeks. I'm not going though. I'm sure that place is gonna be PACKED that night. @Everyone else: Hello :D

I just bought Taylor Swift tickets for June. I'm excited. Also gonna get Tim McGraw featuring Luke Bryan and The Band Perry when I get a little more money in my pocket.

So, I got Lady GaGa in early April, Tim McGraw in late April, and Taylor Swift in June. Yeah!

I love country music. Taylor Swift isn't really country anymore, but she's one of the few country artists who actually comes down to Miami. Not a real country hotspot down here. I'll have to drive over an hour just to see Tim McGraw. I'm praying Brad Paisley and/or Josh Turner come to South Florida at some point.

Or MMA.

Or boxing.

hahahahahaha O god that picture.....

But I do know more about Hip Hop Than you.... youre talking about a whole other subject.

your silly techno will never be related to hip hop

I deny all facts and give you my opinions as facts.

they call me..... MELVIN.

TO EVERYONE THAT HATES YELAWOLF: If you think Yela's verse at the end of this song is garbage, I won't talk about him anymore.

The Game feat. Yelawolf - Rough

Not garbage IMO.

You can still dislike him, but do you think Yela's verse is bad here? I think its great and if it's a sign as to what his album is going to be like it will be tight.

I bet everyone hates him because of his voice/flow.

If HURD thinks he is helping destroy hip-hop, he needs help. As do all of you, especially Texas :P

Oh, God, I hope I can make it to Yela's verse. So far the game's choppy flow and horrible lyrics is making this pretty unbearable.

Okay, I heard it. That's the fist time I've ever heard the dude, but it wasn't all that impressive. I'm not a big rap fan, though, so I'm not the best judge here. The last time I bought a rap album was World Domination by 3sixMafia. :P

I don't think he's destroying hip hop. I just don't see the appeal. Voice really has nothing to do with whether a rapper is good or not, but flow is a big part of it. His breaks up the pace far too often. Its not consistent and waters down his lyrics, which aren't really anything special to begin with. If you're gonna rap fast, then rap fast. He tries this hybrid style, but his slower raps are too slow. Almost at a complete stop. Just doesn't flow right.

I completely skipped over Game's verses just to listen Yela's verse. Game fell off hard after his first album.
