[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Is NK really dangerous or just a lot of talk?jimkabrhel

It's mostly talk to get the US and China to pony up some aid, and to convince the work that Kim Jong Un has a nice big ****.

their military is also splitting into factions over Un and are infighting, so it's like their last gasp of air before they go into a civil war, or do something stupid.

The threat of liberals making inroads into traditionally deep-Red Texas is far more frightening than the threat of nuclear war leveled by North Korea. Apparently.

Oh, and the U.N. is also a serious threat to the Second Amendment.

Democrats are probably more likely to destroy the US than NK is. Same goes for Republicans.

I do like Texas. They're the only state that still has a back bone. They're creating their own gold reserve, and if gold was ever made illegal like in the 1930s they claim the Texas would insure the gold wasn't seized. They also said if Assault rifles were illegal they wouldn't acknowledge federal law. http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/03/21/4721036/tarrant-lawmaker-seeks-to-create.html

LOL. I'd argue you would need a picture that shows every Congressperson and Senator over the last 30 years too.

A lot of people like to downplay the threat but we really are not sure how dangerous they are. I mean they obviously wouldn't last more than a few months in a war but any casualties they cause at all are too much.

Democrats have done far more damage to this country and to the individual rights of its citizens than anyone from North Korea ever has. NK does not even have a means to attack us, while the democrats are already firmly embedded into our government.

They have a history of not acknowledging federal law... Ignoring that slavery ended is a perfect example. I love my state, I'm a Texan, but some republican politicians are too far to the right to even negotiate with.

Dallas. Never lived thereMithrandir50
I live in DFW and dallas is hit or miss (west dallas, north dallas/preston hollow, and majority of lakehighlands are all pretty nice). Most of the surrounding cities such as plano, highland park, allen, richardson, farmers branch, addison, and lewisville are all great places to live

In case anybody didn't read up on it, the Texas AG is worried the UN is going to take peoples guns away, which doesn't seem like what the UN treaty is intended to do. It's main goal is to track the production and international distribution and sale of guns to conflict areas, helping participating countries in making smart decisions on its trade policy of arms. It also aims to track the transfer of guns to allow for accountability of those who participate in illicit arms market so participating governments can make efforts to stem those transfers. None of this violates the 2nd amendment for US citizens.

North Korea may be a threat to South Korea but they don't have the means to attack the US. The only Americans who may get hurt or killed by an North Korean attack are the US troops stationed in South Korea and other Americans who are there for whatever reason. So while the comment itself is pretty insulting to that particular political party technically they are right under North Korea's current warfighting abilities.
