E3 2012 Discussion Thread

How many times have we told him that the maximum level for a Pokémon is 100? Of course, if he would play HeartGold, he could find out! :D There is hope! He gave that Metroid game a chance. Perhaps now he will forever shake the foundations of existence by trying a Pokémon game?

I guess we can revive this tread since E3 2012 is right around the corner! What games are you guys hoping to see on display this year? :shock:

The Wii-U looks quite interesting to me, so I will be eager to see what Nintendo has in store. Mario is bound to have a few new games, including New Super Mario Bros. 2; I've also heard that New Super Mario Bros. Mii will be on the Wii-U as a launch title, but two side-scrolling Mario games in the span of a few months seems like overkill to me. :? I'd much rather they do something more along the lines of Super Mario 64 or Sunshine.

A new Kirby game, of course, would also be wonderful to see. And anything Tales related! 

Donkey Kong Country Returns 2 :3

GTA V is really the only thing I want to see. All of the other games I'm anticipating already have been announced and will be here by the end of the year. I wouldn't mind if they announced a new Rock Band or Fable game though.

Oh, I forgot. I also want to see if any more characters are announced for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

I would not mind that as long as the game has Kremlings instead of Tikis and is not so hard! And Diddy (or Dixie) needs to be playable all the time! 

And there needs to be less minecart stages. They are pretty fun, but not when you're playing co-op and your partner can't do anything so you might as well play solo. Or maybe they can give each player their own cart?GreenFire95

Actually, they sorta do, I remember in some stages when playing co-op I was in the foreground and my friend in the background of a stage with minecarts. Even if we shared the same cart, we each jumped individually so we ended up collecting pretty much everything and it was pretty awesome. :P Though if it really is 2 I suppose there will be more rollercoasters than minecarts. xD

Those roller coasters were in Krazy Kremland, and I very much doubt we'll be returning there as long as we have Tikis.  Though I would not mind one bit if a theoretical second game mirrors Diddy's Kong Quest in the same way that Donkey Kong Country Returns mirrors the first game. Maybe Squitter will return? :D And the Bramble Blast music?

I think you'll be getting that. The new DLC is all about vampires I guess, and it looks badass :cool: Crossbows, horsie combat... I'm looking forward to my return to Tamriel.

I saw a video on System Wars of FF Versus XIII being renamed FFXV and coming out for Wii-U, but it seemed fake to me.DrAwesomeMD

I could see them renaming it to FF15, but I don't really know if the Wii-U is powerful enough to handle it. I've heard most developers say it's not as powerful as a PS3. Either way, I highly doubt the game will be at E3, anyway.

my biggest hope for this E39 is the world ends with you sequal, but somehow I doubt it.  I think if that was going to happen, I think it would be at the tokyo games show, same with *fingers crossed* kingdom hearts 3

Also want some pikmen 3 details... anyway I cannot wait!

No, the remakes were made a long time ago, they just came to NA recently because... I don't know, I mean, even freakin australia got it. :(

Well, Neku is (allegedly) in that 3DS Kingdom Hearts game. So Square hasn't forgotten about TWEWY entirely....

Kingdom Hearts 3 has NO hope of showing up though. They're not going to even start working on it until FF Versus 13 is completed or canceled.

I'm so sorry that you can't play Mortal Kombat. :cry:

I am more sorry for the people who made mortal kombat, because I know a lot of people who resorted to piracy to be able to play it, meaning that the Australian government screwed over their sales.  Me personally though, Mortal Kombat is not my sort of game considering I feel sick seeing too much blood.

Eh, the only fighting game I really care about is Smash. Too bad Sakurai spent SO much time with Kid Icarus that we probably won't hear a thing about either Smash Bros. game next week :x And probably won't be playing either one of them for YEARS. YEARS. 2014 at the earliest.Aidan129

Well I read up on this and apparently Nintendo was not meant to mension there was a super smash bros for wii u coming out.  Since the Nintendo was only at the stage of hiring, meaning that the game wont be done until 2015 at the earliest...scumbag nintendo why do you tease something that is years away :( 

I don't know what you read, Benjamin, but here's what I know--at last year's E3, Sakurai and his team were still working on Kid Icarus, and that continued for the rest of 2011 (after delays, of course). Sakurai officially started work on the game in like February or March of this year.

I do agree that my 2014 estimate is very generous, and a 2015 release is well within the realm of possibility, but I'm being optimistic for once.

Do we know when the Wii-U is coming out? I don't pay attention to announcements, although I probably should.GreenFire95

I am pretty sure they announced that it would be out either end of this year, or start of next year.
