I've heard that Sony and Microsoft will be revealing their new consoles next year. Which is fine with me. Unlike the Wii, they're both still fairly well off on the technical side of things. After playing Xenoblade, though, I'm glad that the Wii is about to retire. It seriously needs to
Though I must admit, considering how hard Microsoft is pushing that Kinect sh*t, the Wii-U could very well end up being my console of choice for the next generation... We'll see what Reggie has to say for himself on Tuesday....... I already know what Microsoft is gonna say  Kinect this, Kinect that, More new apps that I'll never use this, Kinect that, Halo 4... Kinect, Kinect...
I watched Nintendo's Pre-E3 conference tonight, and it was nothing to terribly interesting. Iwata-san talked quite a lot about the Wii-U Game Pad and the new Nintendo Network. It was nothing particularly new, except for the Wii-U's "alternate" controller. In addition to the touch screen controller they have been showing off for the past year, it would seem there is a more traditional controller for the system that looks almost exactly like an Xbox 360 controller!
Â
Hooray! Time to get the A mixed up with the B and the Y mixed up with the X again! :D
And I just got used to the 360 controller, too.
I actually think the Wii-U's Xbox controller copy looks pretty awesome. All the buttons look easily reachable, the handles look comfortable, and...it's not a Wiimote.Out-Of-Ammo
Hey shut up, it's not an X-box copy, it's an ergonomical Gamecube controller, and from what I know, the Gamecube came before the Xbox.
Where's your similarities? First the D-pad isn't sh!t like on your x-box controller, and I would like to remind you which controller came first. Heck, the GC controller even looks like an updated version of the SNES controller. What I'm trying to say is that first, they all look the same and two, if you really want to go and war about who copies who, it's no one, because really all they care about is the ergonomy. So I'll compare since you seem so badly to desire so.
Left Joystick and d-pad, same place, but they were there since GCN's time, so I don't think that counts. Back buttons, GCN, had them. Xbox simply added a second one on the left side. Start button, middle, since GCN. Right analog stick and buttons, not the same place so doesn't change anything. Start was in the middle since GCN and it's logical for home and select to be near it. I don't include the power button because Xbox it's the same as home, so Nintendo just put one, So the only thing you can say they might have "copied" is a home and select button, which any person would put in the middle with a right mind. And a left shoulder button, which is pretty much a pre-requisite for controllers these days. So where's your "copy"?

DEfine analcrusaded. :| I'm scared to look it up.
It's a more eloquent way of saying butt hurt.Â

I'm not butthurt... though there are times that I am, you know, when THE dump needs to pass? But that's not the subject here. So yeah, in the end, they're all controllers, and who cares, it's better than a Wiimote or a Move or a tablet or... *shudders*... Kinect.
*cough* the playstation controller is a better origin controller than the GC one for this shape and style *cough* *cough* the difference is that if you compare the xbox controller and the wii u one, they look more similar than the GC one in comparison *cough* *cough* that's why people say it looks similar to the xbox controller and not a gamecube one *cough*Mr_Jenkins
Damn, you shouldn't smoke. :PÂ
So far the Xbox conference has been the sh*ttiest one I've ever seen. :|Mr_JenkinsAnd now it's official. That was the sh*ttiest conference I've ever seen.

Tons and tons of Kinect I assume?Â

And sports and fitness and dancing and useless apps and the magic of voice commands.I'm quite glad that I did not watch it, then. :P
I rather enjoyed the new Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance trailer, though! I has been far too long since Sora has been the lead character, and it will be good to play as him again! :D The new worlds I glimpsed look fun, too.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't waste my time with the Microsoft Conference. After last year, I kinda expected this year would be even worse. Though Halo 4 looks WICKED AWESOME. Holy hell, that game looks good. Those new Forerunner weapons look pretty sweet and it seems to have a fairly engaging story, too. Also, it looks amazing.
I'm sure that Sony's conference isn't going to be very exciting, either, so that leaves all of my hopes on Nintendo tomorrow. I don't think they'll disappoint too much. At least it's impossible for them to do worse than Microsoft. Then again, since they're now copying Microsoft, maybe they WILL disappoint? :P
I'll also note that the new Sim City game looks great.

I saw 1 article about GTA5. Didn't read it, but the title indicated that some obscure artist that might have worked on the game says that it's coming out in October.
Hopefully this 3DS thing tomorrow reveals something to tickle my fancy :x Maybe that frickin Fire Emblem game? Or a Zelda game for the 3DS? Though my guess is that if they had something like that on deck, it probably would have been in today's conference.
Oooh... and we all know what game SHOCKINGLY hasn't appeared at E5... ...Final Fantasy Versus 13! Stick a fork in this one, I think it's done.
I saw someone make a Majora's Mask Wii-U fan trailer.
If that was actually at E3, it'd dominate everything that's been shown.Â
That's what Nintendo 5-star said when they saw it. I say it probably wouldn't have, there'd be a mass of people complaining that Ocarina of Time didn't get on the Wii U first.barren167That just had a remake though.

They unveiled more characters for PlayStation All-Stars, but they were characters that were already leaked before E3. (Nathan Drake and Big Daddy)Dragon66116And besides, Nathan Drake being in the game is not something anyone ought to be surprised about, unless they know little to nothing about Sony's franchises.

It's the complainers that yell the loudest over any announcement though, any time. Ocarina of Time has a large fanbase that wants an HD remake, with or without the Majora's Mask trailer.
COINS!!!!!!!!!! Did I mention there are a lot of coins? And you still get extra lives for them, hopefully 'tis the only way to acquire them. Blocks that give you coins and you run, koopa shells that leave coin trails, power-ups that turn enemies into coins, pow blocks destroy (and hit) bricks (and blocks) that have coins, that's a lot. Also, Raccoon suit!barren167
I think that I am looking forward to the Wii-U version more. That squirrel suit looks quite cute, and I'm happy that baby Yoshi is back! I will, of course, be getting both games.

Wait, Big Daddy from Bioshock? Why the fvck is he there? I thought it'd be Sony exclusive characters only.
