E3 2012 Discussion Thread

Fire Emblem: Awakening is coming to the 3DS :D Another fragment of good news... That's the thing about this year's E3. There ARE a lot of good games here, but none of it is new. There have been no huge, shocking surprises to make me soil myself, and that's a shame. I was looking forward to soiling myself.

Scribblenauts looks pretty good. That is about the only pleasant surprise I've seen. I can't wait to make angry zombie carrots :D

And after Super Paper Mario, I'm automatically skeptical about the quality of Sticker Star. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. After I bought both of those horrid Crystal Chronicles games on the DS, I refuse to get taken like that ever again.

Still haven't checked anything e3 related, man working 11 hours a day is draining... thankfully it's only this week.

I watched the 3DS software showcase, also nothing new there, unless you missed game announcements made in the main conference. Best game was probably New Super Mario Bros. 2, or Scribblenauts Unlimited. Paper Mario fans, skip Sticker Star, it sounds worse than Nintendoland.barren167

I was going to watch it, but I thought that it was at 7:00 Pacific, so when I tuned in, it was already over. :lol: It is disappointing that the only thing they did was go over the stuff revealed in the primary conference in more depth. I was expecting some more game announcements or something! How disappointing! At least we got to see more Kingdom Hearts. 

That guy visited the Mii Plaza on my... er... Ms. Mitchell's 3DS today :lol: But yeah, I don't know where they got that guy from, but he's no Reggie.

Anyway, E5 is over, and I got what I expected... which is to say, I was not even remotely surprised by anything the show had to offer. Yes, there were plenty of great games, but I already knew about almost all of them.

That almost makes me glad that I missed the 3DS show. Given how nervous he was during the main presentation on Tuesday, I kind of suspected he would be the same for the 3DS show. I don't know if I could have put up with him for a whole entire hour. :lol:

So now that E3 is over, what were your favorite games? I really liked Kingdom Hearts, of course. Epic Mickey 2 looks quite wonderful, and both new Mario games look fun. I am looking forward to collecting a million coins! :P

I think Michael is FINALLY coming to his senses. It's about damn time, too. Pretty soon, I think he might actually be playing real games! :shock:

ANYWAY, Halo 4 is undoubtedly my Game of Show. Borderlands 2 also looked good. The Last of Us, God of Wart, Pikmin, Scribblenauts, and both Mario games were also agreeable.

It'll still be better than 90% of the games at E3 anyway.

God, that game looks fvcking incredible. I'd say it'd be GotY 2012 but I read that it isn't likely to release this year. :( 

I can't think of any 3rd party characters other than Mega Man that would fit in in SSB. :SDrAwesomeMD

I dunno, spyro and crash, while kinda fallen off their A-grade games reputation, both of them have been staring in mainly nintendo systems so you never know.

Watch Dogs looked pretty cool, but I don't know if it's something I could get into right now.

Game of the Show for me would definitely be The Last of Us. Can't wait for that to release.

I saw no such Pikmin, Philly. Then again, I wasn't paying that close of attention.

Well, what I saw of it didn't seem very Metroid Prime like. Thank tha Maker. And unlike that smoldering pile of sh*t, Cortana made your objectives crystal clear.
