Nice Hack & Slash D&D Game!!

User Rating: 7 | Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale PC
The reason I had to purchase and own this game was because it had the Dungeons & Dragons Logo on it. I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons on PC ever since Baldur's Gate. I moved on to Icewind Dale and later I ended up with NeverWinter Nights. All of these games were from the campaign Forgotten Realms and never got the chance to beat any of them. I then discovered a game called DragonShard in which I did beat. I never got acquainted with D&D Online but it is on my wish list. When I heard of Daggerdale, I saw a bit of the game-play and I liked it. The game is played in third person and not first person in which I prefer. Although this game might not be the top of the notch full of bells and whistles, it sure kept me playing it. Upon reaching level 5, I began to like the armor and weapons. I made it to level 10 in less than 7 days. The last task was to defeat a dragon. I could have killed the dragon easily if I had help from players, but since I was playing solo it took me nearly 2 hours and 15 minutes to defeat it. When I defeated the dragon, I realized I had beat the game. The graphics are fine compared to old D&D games. The sounds of the game are ok but could have been better. If you suffer from motion sickness some camera angles due to mouse movements can make you dizzy. The camera angles could have been improved for a perfect 360 view. The dialogue would have been better at the bottom of the character and have the whole sentence appear at once instead of it appearing like if someone was typing it. The npcs and some mobs should have had the ability to speak or make sounds. I know I missed many gigs but to cut it short, this game is fair enough to play for the daring.
