Good,lengthy,innovative,variety and this is how games should be.....perfectly NEAT!!!!
Story:-
The story is epic,believe me.The way the elements are put together are just work of pure geniuses.Reminds me of the revelations chapter from the Holy Bible put to a modern world scenario.There is not much story as the game progresses but the concept is way clear and is clearly understood at various levels so in the end you don't wonder what is going on,it is simple to understand.Although some aspects of it will not be cleared.Let's see how they continue this concept and story in their sequel Darksiders 2.
Gameplay:-
Just a collection of huge variety.Let me start with the combos,you get three main weapons and as the game progress,the weapons XP and upgrades will unlock new combos and weapon power that adds the extra punch.Also I played this game with a gamepad(X360 Controller) so had no issues in playing it right and smoothly but I think playing with the keyboard and mouse would be difficult and tight.The inventory management is simple and not much in it,easy to pick up.The powers given or purchased are just too cool,used properly with the primary weapons attack prove very fast killing of enemies and really fun to watch.There are many levels and puzzles in this game that require a little or sometimes more amount of thinking and quick moves management.Sometimes this becomes irritating(too much of everything). There is a lot of variety in boss fights but there are too many boss fights and some boss fights take a lot of patience and understanding for finishing them successfully.But it was a tough challenge,was very fun and exciting.Too many worlds and too much adventure and too much killings and too many combos....sounds fun...
Graphics:-
I like the game,gave me smooth and constant FPS even during high intense moments.If you played Witcher 2,you will experience some glitches and performance issues but you won't find any in this one.The game engine optimizes it according to your hardware and graphics settings and gives proper output.I played it in full resolution and high details without and issues.
The art work and textures in each world is very excellent,you will love the graphics aspect and will keep you in the game.Nothing is repetitive everything is a new module developed superbly.
Sound:-
The dialogues,sound effects and voice acting is nice although this game lacks a good soundtrack but everything else is OK.
The designers and developers have really put a lot into this to come up something like this; all credits goes to the team.
Part 2 of this game should be interesting to play.
Overall:- Buy it and play it,it is worth spending some time.
